Very nice Steve! I really like the look. Great job :TU: Now what could we call those.....new Weld Dragdogs?
:TU: First Class as usuall from SRE, I agree with J.R. remindes me of chrome reverse with baby moons. Looks Great, Steve............You bringing it to Morocco?
Dog Dish Thanks Guys! John, yes I'm bringing it to Morocco. It's just in street trim now, but I can't resist making a pass or two!! No high 10's with this setup, but maybe a high 11 ? See you there. Steve
I love the look of your car! Your car has a mean stance. You have the best of both worlds: light weight wheels and the standard hubcaps. I love a nice 70-72 Buick with "poverty caps".
and that, there, my friends, is why I am not a fabricator... I couldn't have even come up with that idea. Not quite my cup of tea (I prefer painted rims/dog dish), but its still cool!
Ok I have to say it . They look awful . Take those things off and I'll come by and take them I mean throw them away for you ! I would like it better without the rim screws . The idea will probably take off , maybe you can offer the adaptors for sale here . JK
Ok I'll say it what we are all thinking . Yes they look awful . Take them off and I'll swing by and take them I mean throw them away for you . I would have to bring them back here to St Louis and figure out how to recycle them . Seriously , I think these would be beautiful on my black 70 .
Hey Steve...I like the adapter for the Weld Wheels I have(15x5/15x8)and they are screaming for those adapters/I'll have to find some decent dog-dish caps....I say if you have the time,MAKE THEM(and THEY WILL COME.)Jay B.Britt,Jr.
Thanks guys!! The rims and dog dish caps that you see in the earlier posts are the same ones you'll see now on a certain red/white stock appearing GS. The only difference is now the rims are silver. I would make more of these adapters if there is interest. Steve
I went for the stock look....kind of! 15x6 & 15x10 The wheels are very nice, but VERY HEAVY compared to the weld wheels!! I guess that I can start making up a few sets of these adapters. I'll post when I get some finished. Steve
