Fighting my own woes trying to get my 66 Wildcat on the road for this summer. Seems like the more you dig, the more you find. Ready to replace cam, lifters, chain etc on the 401. That sucked up $ cause the parts though available, are not priced like SBC stuff. Totally understand the part time job thing, already there, done that. In the end it will all be worth it though when we go to car events and park the 66 Wildcat and the 65 LeSabre 400 conv side by side. Keep plugging, in the end it will be fun!

I know itll be worth it in the end and its been almost three years as of now... Mechanically, I have the exhaust left, suspension check, main body shell check, brakes check, drivetrain check... all i have is body and interior but thats like $6k from where I am. Im a union electrician and havent worked in 6 months so its tough to even look at the buick. Hopefully these mechanical jobs come through so I can make the money to sandblast! :)
