Cap & Trade will now move to the Senate where it should pass easily. The middle class is about to experience a huge rise in energy prices...but I guess it's worth it to have the chance to idolize Michael Jackson.
RIP to Jacko and everyone else who has passed away... but all this media coverage is getting sickening! Michael Jackson was a great entertainer undeniably, but he also may have been a child molester. He screwed the people he owes $400 million dollars to... nice guy. I heard on the radio yesterday a story about how he screwed Paul McCartney on buying the rights to the Beatles music. Paul was hospitable to Jackson, letting him stay at his home in England, after Paul advised him at dinner one day that owing your own music rights were a key to profiting from your own music, Jago later went after the Beatles music and outbid Paul by bidding 47 million for the rights to the Beatles songs. What a piece of sh_t! Jago screwed a person who befriended him. They said to this day, Paul never spoke to that jag again after he back stabbed him. In short... the world has lost a great former entertainer... but the world has lost an even greater total a-hole!
Well, it kinda surprises me to hear some of these coments.... The man is Dead and we still continue to call him a freak and whatnot..???? I don't really care what kind of person he was, its disrespectfull. As for what he did or didn't do to those kids, All we have to go off is the media, and we all know how accurate that is. I also know that if my kid was molested, there wouldn't be enough money in the world to keep me from the accused.. So that makes me question weather it happened or not. All I know is I can't sing or dance like he did, nor do I know anyone who can... Man had tallent beyond belief.Amazing skills... One day we'll know the truth.... But like I said before, both of the dead have been a part of many Americans' rite of passage. Just because you don't like the media coverage doesn't mean it's not resonating with other people. And, then, think about how MJ's death was unexpected. Think about the tragedy of his life and how huge he was. Why *wouldn't* it receive so much coverage? It was the same thing with Anna Nicole death, which came out of nowhere as well. If you think the media coverage is sickening, just turn off your TV. But from a musical standpoint, this is probably the most significant surprise since Lennon.
Let's see... I've turned off the TV, I never did like the music (or the Beatles for that matter) so to me I could really care less about it.
I agree with you Diego. (Man, did I just say that? AGAIN? :laugh: ) MJ's music AND dance was the best of it's era. He was a huge icon of his time and will go down as possibly the best of all time. He fought many, many demons, that is for sure and they did catch up with him. That being said, I would never not allow any of my children to participate in a "sleep over" at Neverland...that's just weird.
