Re: Micheal Jackson Died today... Regardless of what one thinks of Michael Jackson, it is impossible to relate it without using superlatives. He was one of those individuals that left an indelible mark with every thing he did, and very few people in the industrialized world did not know who he was. Celebrity does peculiar things to those who gain it. It is how the celebrity deals with those peculiarities that determines their final judgment. Some use fame and fortune for good purposes, some use it for personal gratification. History may or may not be kind to Michael Jackson. He was unarguably influential, but frankly was no saint.
Re: Micheal Jackson Died today... I heard about Michal gacking while I was in a used CD store. Guy answered two calls looking for MJ stuff while I was waiting to pay. He told the callers that he had already sold some stuff so they better hustle. I told him to get his butt out into the aisle and add $5 to the price of each MJ item -- easy money and people would pay it without batting an eye. He and the other dude behind the counter just laughed -- too fat and lazy to actually do it. Something tells me neither of them owned the store. -- Steve

Big difference though between acknowledging you're not perfect and striving to be (even though it is unattainable it is admirable) and acknowledging you're not perfect and not caring. I think Marley's comment was more towards the ladder. Still, you're right. We shouldn't point fingers because as the BIG Man said, "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." A talented dude MJ was, with a life that he probably squandered in my humble opinion. I wonder if he was EVER really happy sometimes. Then again, many of us could ask ourselves the same thing.
