Super cool... $14,500 I think it was. It's a fiberglass kit mounted on a 60's bug chassis.

 

I have a quite a few pictures from the speed trials at "El Mirage" if anyone is interested, but it would almost have to be it's own thread.

 

I couldn't find the good one I had so I'll post these..


On the race car the first thing that comes to mind is 55gal drum of flat black..

That guy needs to meet a friend here. He's got a supercharged LS1 with A/C stuffed in the back of one of those porsches. You cannot even tell that its in there from looking at it.

This Econoline truck was at the Red Deer Super Run show last weekend. Very different.....

 

Sweet '57 Special with a 3 on the tree. Never did meet up with the owner. I'm not big on '50's cars, but this just has the "look".

 

This one made me home sick...

 

I found this one in Galveston right after the Hurricane. The windows are all dirty looking and I think it was flooded. The area that I found it in had over 8 feet of water during the storm.

The day before Ike hit us, the storm surge was already having its effects. These people were having some fun with it.

Found in Galveston a couple days after the storm. I don't think it left the island, but I also do not know if it got flooded. I'm assuming that it's parked on the sidewalk to try to avoid flooding.

This was a Chevy S10 i saw yesterday. Complete custom front end. I see it as a waste of money, but i bet the owner loves it dearly

A few months later, I seen the same car with a new paint job. I stopped to take a picture of it. The owners came outside and told me right away that they wanted $14k for it and that they are in no hurry to sell. I told them I was in no hurry to buy. They then offered it to me for $13k, lol.

My girlfriend and I came across this old Thing today when I went to get a hair cut. It's had a lot of work done any was extremely clean and solid.

 

Saw some cool ones at a show today. The 3rd GS I've seen in this country. Now, I just need to sell mine and bring over the 4th!



And some Japanese cool, Toyota Crown with a 289 + 5 speed

 

Brian, we saw many of these in the Bahamas a couple of years ago. They are made by Kia, Suzuki and a couple of others. Kia calls theirs, the "Towner".They also come in "van" style. They aren't imported to this country because they won't pass the 5 mph bumper test. They get about 40 mpg and would go a long way to help with our dependence on foreign oil. ou:

Seen this AMC in a grocery store parking lot. The guy that drove it was pushing 90yrs old. I had to help him back it out of the parking spot. He had trouble getting it out without hitting the cars next to him.
