The first picture shows some colors of some small Florida maples, and some balding cypress trees in the background. The rest of the pictures are just some rednecks. Oh wait, that’s us.
We had seven adults and three kids. Definitely too many for one little runabout boat. So we put the kids in their own johnboat and pulled them. They have their own cooler with soft drinks, and 1 gallon jug of cheesy balls. The five adults in the red boat had two coolers of beer and food. My nephew and I followed in my John boat with our two coolers of beer. It was a great day!
Could you up north people please, I really mean please send some early winter weather down here to South Florida. I am dying. Just got finished rolling paint on the soffit in the front of the house. Yes, it was in the sun. I am so sticky sweaty and I don’t even have a shirt on. I was going to say at least there’s a breeze, but it keeps blowing my drop cloths away from the paint zone. What’s the temperature? 88.2°F
I think it’s time for an ice cold beer, and a small break before I climb a ladder and start cutting in where the roller did not get. I know, some of you are saying, painters start drinking the second they start painting whether it be morning noon or night. Yes, I am late.
I once owned a panting co. and its true most of the guys in that trade are heavy drinkers/ drug users but if they showed up on my job under the influence they got sent home.
Oh Steve, I was going to give you a like. How did you get any work done? LMAO! Maybe they were too buzzed when they showed up. You have to start out slow
Many days working alone doing it all by myself. As today, its hard to find good help. One of the reasons I got out of that business.
Woke up this morning to snow flurries!!!! Freaking snow flurries!!! They won't stick around long as the ground is still too warm. There's lake effect snow squall warnings later today about 1.5 hours northeast of me. Two days ago I was outside in a t-shirt and shorts.
No different than any other fall, cold is coming in faster this year I noticed. The color is really good this year in NE. Ohio,we have been in kinda of a drought and it seems to be getting better color out of it.
It's been a rainy day here in the Tampa Bay Area. Temperature cooled off from 86F yesterday to about 80 today. Looks like it's gonna be 68F when I get up tomorrow.... Nice!

Leaves are just about all gone, rabbits are turning white, and the temperature is going down below freezing overnight. Looks like we'll have snow before Halloween. So where is this "climate change" I keep hearing about? It's getting colder sooner and winter is dragging on longer, - it was only 4 months ago that it stopped going below freezing at night. The winters are getting more like they were in the 60s and 70s again. It's funny how everywhere else on the planet seems to be getting hotter, but most places I go to or live in are getting cooler and the winters are getting worse. I bought 2 convertibles in anticipation of being able to drive them all year round...well, can't afford that, and it's too cold. Funny how the more things change, some things just remain the same.
Supposed to get into the low 40's here in N Florida in the next few days. We usually dont get that cold until Dec - Jan.
