Is a 160 thermostat too cold for a mostly stock 350??

Quote::::Sorry, it's nowhere near that simple, and just plain wrong. Put 10,000 miles on an engine with an operating temp of 80F, tear it down...you'll be amazed how bad it is in such a short time.

Who in there right mind would run an engine at 80F. :Do No:
I have never come across a thermostat under 160F.
I run my engines at 80 yes but 80 Centigrade. :pp

If an engine is all raoched out because it was run cool, something else must be wrong with it.

Good point on the street tuning Joe, most folks don't need to run their rig right at the peak tune-up for normal driving. I have found however that the 160 stat allows me to tune more aggressively and still run fine on 87 octane.

I guess it really comes down to preference depending on what you want out of a car.
