B4B. Yeah, T/A needs your money more than Edelbrock, but a dual plane
is hard to beat for a warmed over street engine. The Performer has the
carb pad moved in relation to the B4B so the Stage 1 guys can use the
"cold air" hood set up, but if I remember correctly, the forward cylinders run even leaner than the B4B. Although, every chiropractor in the world would want you to re-use that freakin' cast iron intake:rolleyes: ........

I always was wondering whats the rest of the story behind that senario? Single plane and a holley dp too rich, I have to think one does not know how to tune a holley. Holleys will bet any q-jet and eddy anyday of the week at a drag strip but for street and strip duty, I recommand a ProSystems SV1 if you can afford it, but if not, go with a eddy and you'll be just fine.

Was there a different B4B intake that fit? I have one that was on my convertible and from what I remember it fit the hood air openings just fine. It had the front air cleaner bracket on it also.

The B4B moved the carburetor pad forward I believe. So the air cleaner snorkel foams didn't line up with the hood opening.

I got tired of grinding on the ports of the Poston S-Divider intake and bought a used Edelbrock Performer on ebay for my Riviera motor. If anyone wants to take a chance and finish opening up the ports of this S-divider, send me a PM and I will make you a good deal on this one. Later, RS

On 2/15/13 I sold the Poston intake mentioned here to a board member. Thanks Mike! RS

i had the same questions, I'm running a SP1 intake with stage 2 iron heads, I talked with TA performance and they said to use composite .062 gaskets and a modified valley pan! Automotive Machine @Performance 270-729-5556, they make a vally pan just for this app. its $35.00 but very nice!

No, you notch the divider on the secondary side, not remove it completely. It has breathing advantages. It equalizes flow between the 2 planes.

Kev,
I posted the picture so you didn't have to ask me that:grin: Looks like about halfway down from the top, on the secondary side.

Tried many combos.....I remove half of the divider all the way across. Then a 1/4 in spacer with a 4 hole 1/2 on top of that. The notched secondary was for Holley 3 barrels.....
