I hope that happen's, you can tell that the new owner doesn't care about what he/she has.

As I said I hope that happen's, but with John just selling it because he wanted to I find it hard to believe he would buy it back, but we can wish.

If I had the cash I'd buy it in a heartbeat, it sucks, we went from two people working, making real good money, to both of us living on disabillity.

I still offer that if someone wants to buy her, then give her to me, I will give her a great home that she will never leave :Brow: :TU: :Brow:

I just Goggled it, I remember seeing that one. For some reason I was thinking John was older then that, he just a young pup in that show :Brow: .

Does anyone have his webpage link ??? I'd love to look at his collection of Buicks.

I believe its a little late for that. The car sold on E-Bay for $125,000 . So much for " a small profit ".

That's strange, I thought it was a "buy it now" for 300 grand.

I didn't look at it well enough I guess, I didn't see that people were bidding, I had only looked at it when it was 1st put up.

Hopefully it's going to a good Buick person this time. I hope if it's someone on here we will find out.

It was a Buy-it-now for $299,000 or Best Offer. It had around 6 offers on it till he got one for $125,000. We can only hope a Buick person got it.

Who really knows if it sold for $125K or not? If it did then JC left $50K on the table! But again who knows?? Its ebay after all!! As was said in this very thread before the big bad Super Mod stomped his foot down, you can't believe anything on ebay any more.

    AH thanks.

I didn't sign in to eBay, so it was just showing me the winning price, it wasn't showing me the bidders, I think you have to sign in to be able to see those.

EDIT: I just signed into eBay and it still won't show the bidders, the seller must be hiding that or eBay is.

Only while the auction is running can you see the offers made on it . The last time I looked there were 6 offers that were all declined by the seller. You don't see the $ amount , just that a offer was made. And you never see the persons name , just a code and their feedback #. I did see that the same person made 2 different offers. Its just like someone bidding on the phone at the large auctions. No one knows if its true.

As I mentioned earlier, the dishonesty, shill bidding, and corruption used by these auction houses, collectors, flippers, and museums is astounding.

So the ridiculous $1.85 million dollar appraisal is a joke. The car was only worth $72K as of this past Fall, when it was actually sold at auction. The museum advertises it for $299K on E-Bay.

Then this thread gets started, questioning the integrity, ethics, and honesty of all these high end 6-figure car dealers that will stop at nothing to "win", including shill bidding, phony reports of sales with trumped up prices, and fake documentation.

The car sells on E-Bay for $125K. So the museum sticks their middle finger out to all those that said the car was only worth $72K. They really showed those us "jerks" on a Buick forum that said it wouldn't sell for more than $72K. Yep, they "win". They made $50K on the deal. :bla:

Oops....it's back at the auto museum for $299K.

He also told you how I feel. :beer

Just to be clear, I don't question the legitamacy of the car either. Only the bogus ebay bidding and fake price jacking. If it's gonna sell (for real) let it sell on its own merits for what it is, not some ballooned, fake price tag that was created.

But the good news is that those that wanted more pics of the car can follow the link to the museum.

I do love the car, I think it's VERY cool. :TU:

This car is the real thing. Spoke to John C a week after the Mecum auction and he took a beating on it. The person that bought said they were a Buick dealer and wanted to preserve some Buick history. Amazing how much history is worth against flipping it to make a major killing on it.
    Feel sorry for John.
