Where the hell are Thorton Gas stations ????? Never seen one . But I want to know so I can Boycott them ..
Maybe they went out of business due to the boycott? This thread reminds me of my local Little Caesar's pizza a few years ago. Went in with my 12 year old daughter to get 2 pizzas and 2 crazy breads. Had 2 coupons for the crazy bread and it was 1 coupon per order so I was going to have her pay cash. Placed my order and got my pizza/crazy bread. She placed her order and the lady would not except her coupon as it was "1 coupon per order". I tried to explain it was 2 transactions with 2 receipts so it was 2 orders. She said because she walked in with me it was still 1 order. I explained it once again (2 receipts = 2 orders), asked to speak to the manager, and she told me she was in charge at the moment. This, along with some other issues with the store has cut my visits WAY down at this location.
If I answer the phone for a service call and the first thing the caller / prospective customer does is bash a competitor I go on the defense and strongly lean towards not serving that person. I'll hear them out but 8 out of 10 times decline to accept the job. My reasoning is that if I dont totally satisfy them they will be bashing me to the next contractor they call. Many other times I get customers trying to bait me into running down a competitor/ fellow contractor. I never bite or will say something like " Im sorry you had that experience" In the 11 yrs Ive been in business it hasnt come back to bite me
Very good policy Briz. When I had my shops, people would ask if my product was better than others in the area. I told my employees to answer by telling them to try ours and let us know.
