Well if "Cheeper" and easier is the only point, why waste $5k on a paint job? You can do a nice two-tone scheme for about $40 including primer & tape using Wal-Mart spray paint.

White spoke trailer wheels are a hell of a lot "cheeper" too than chrome ones....

Dont worry about a guy like this . It sounds like he can do none of the work himself and if you read down a bit , he says he will run both alcohol and nitrous in big volumes. I worked with a promod team a few years ago that tried this . It was basically a bomb. You couldnt put enough volume in it to keep it from leaning out . Think this knuckle head will figure it out? PLUS pass car 400 block and big HP --Bomb
Look at the way the car sits,etc.
Call him out with anything and I think you'll be safe .

Silly me, I am removing the chevy block that currently is in the engine bay of my recently purchased '71. I am putting in a 455/TH400, so I guess I'll have to settle for running great 1/4 times reliably <sigh>

 

My motor is all broken in now, so I would love to race that POS. Also he beat on the back roads a low 11 sec. car and he only has 400 hp. What is his secret? Bring it on chumly!!!!!!!!

 

Tuning twin percolators(predators) on alcohol with nitrous oh boy this idiot might as well hit himself in the head with a tack hammer he'll get more acomplished.That POS stock 400 block will split the cylinder walls and or spit the main webs out of it the first time he hits the can!JUNK.There are more holes in his project than a screen door.
I to had problems getting off that site whats up.

 

OK, I'm thinking the low 11sec car he raced was more like a mid-low 13sec car. C'mon, that car would have to weigh 1500lbs to blow the doors off of a low 11sec car with 400HP.

Here's where he looses me though. He talks about doing this cheaply but spent all of that money on a motor that only puts out roughly 40HP more than a stock 455 GS. WTF!!!!!!!!!
Pick up a used 71-72 455 and put in a cam, headers, ignition and some mild porting. You'll have well over 400HP at half the price.

I redneck have inherited some money. As you can see I am getting rid of it as quickly as I can. I am going to make my Grand Sport ss go so fast that I am going to have someone else drive it for me. Yeehaw! In two years when I am divorsed, broke, and selling off stuff for pennys on the dollar. (To pay off my racing bets) You can thank me for not ruining that nice 40,000 mile unmolested Buick motor. You have to pick it up from the garage floor of my nice house before Thursday as that is when the bank takes the house back.
