Nope X2. These are the young dumb ones...be patient, and don't stop setting trap for at least a week after last catch...and keep bait fresh...
Not for me but my fox is feeding his whole family. Hawk and crows didn't want them....... Oh, no more scouts caught....might have sent a message. I'll try for another week then seal up the holes in the wall.
I sealed the entrances to the former mouse condominium under my dishwasher with Great Stuff big gap filler. Once you think you've solved the problem, then use it. That stuff works great. While you're at it, try and find some other holes that might need filling because when you open that can, you pretty much have to use it all. I don't think it's reusable.
Nothing in the trap this AM but there was noise in the attic above my bed loud enough to wake me up!ou:  Must be the pissed off parents......
Looks like it's time to move this extraction to the attic. Perhaps a few pads of D-Con strewn about the upper level and maybe a Victor or 3?
Ummm... You do NOT want a dead rat in the attic... or anywhere in the house...Talk about a disgusting NAUSEATING smell...I had one die in the storeroom under the stairs where the waterheater is. (yes, just about the dead center of the house.) It had climbed up on the shelf area above your head, behind some stuff and died after poison kicked in. I don't know if the poison slowed or sped up the process, but I still get quezy on my stomach even THINKING about that smell. Nature takes care of the dead outside... Everybody has smelled a dead critter in the summer outside, where it dissipates by open air and being consumed by other critters. Nothing got to the rat but flies, and the flies offspring. maggots... Vicks vapo-rub on the lip and nose, actually put an old clothes pin on my nostrils as I needed both hands for removal; Pine-sol on a rag; and bleach direct on the area stong enough to burn your eyes, and still throw up. I was NOT a trained professional. Do NOT try this at home, boys and girls. (Disclaimer)
I'll have to go up there and investigate. I'll bring some Victor traps with me. I don't understand how they made so much noise up there. Like banging things around...but there is only insulation up there.o No:
Watch out there chewing through the beams. They are going to drop the ceiling on Your head when You are asleep :bla: It is the revenge of the Rats:moonu:
Don't need to go up there...they know where food is. Keep them coming to you so you can dispose of carcasses. Had mouse manage to fall inside partition and not get out...can't imagine odor associated w/rat. As for noise, may be using stack vent or plumbing run areas to move around...patience, patience, patience...
Wilson, Only you would bring up a subject like this! Go piddle with a Thermoquad or something....... Tuna
Had one living in my crawlspace before. Got em with an antique leg trap. I'll dig up the picture. Once in a while I get one in the barn. I do a mouse round up once in a while. One day I found a mouse head in the trap, so I baited the leg trap with a whole mouse and caught a rat!
I got a mouse terrorizing my bedroom. All i have is a BB gun and one tiny Decon trap which i feel is probly out-dated or used already or something. Or many he's just smart because he hasnt fallen for it yet. This guy literally scaled my wall once 0_0...freakin mouse lol Oh, ignore the signature, the only trap i get caught by is a speed trap >=} hahaha
Sorry....no more rat action. They got the message....I hope. But...if you are in need of rat discussion, check this out: http://www.archive.org/details/groks511 Smarter than you might think.....
