I need some help badly. I am being zoomed big big time with the resto on my '70 Stage 1.

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

The interior was not changed and you know that. There was no massive delays over that. Who's feeding you this crap? I wonder. And how does this concern you in any way?

Doc, I have to ask if you have some type of personal involvement with this issue? From your posts it sure seems like it. Tom

    docgsx It's not a GTX

I’ve had work done at this shop on some of my cars. Never had a total restoration done there.

The question at hand was obviously put out there for public opinion. I’m giving my opinion.

I say you get your car out of there, cut your losses, find someone else to finish it, before it drives you out of the hobby altogether. Bill

  6. This is a sad and depressing story I have read many times over the years I have been in this hobby. I wouldn't wish this type of stress on anybody

Apparently T&N has down hilled allot..I believe they screwed with Phil Roitman and his Gold 73 car as well. I personally know Phil and have met Korrie years ago and can say they are both honest and decent people. T&N should do the right thing, instead of hosing people..Just my opinion..

Skipping all the details, if you look at the basic condition of the car on Day 0 combined with dollars spent and time since the build started.... it's too long and too much for too little.

Police do not handle civil matters .
I might contact my classic car insurance company . I know I have coverage for car and parts, while in a restoration shop. They might subrogate the claim and go after the shop I really have no idea.. But Korrie shouldn't be responsible for parts going missing in someone else's care and custody.

It is covered by the law of bailments for the particular jurisdiction.

A citation is simply a “promise to
Appear “ before the magistrate in lieu of custodial arrest . That’s why when you fail to
Appear they issue a warrant for your arrest . So yes , it’s criminal .

There may be some civil remedies in these situations , but I haven’t heard of any plantiffs
Saying they ever got 100% restitution .

Sorry off track here Korrie wanted to answer Kens question .

I have no dog in this fight. I've got my own demons to battle. But...here's what I find REALLY interesting about this and similar types of things. You NEVER see the accused shop or shop owner say..."Here's the real story, or here's my thoughts, or I will work to fix this", or whatever! You always see other people got to bat for the shop, or shop owner, but really that means nothing because each incident is different. What may have been a good shop 15 years ago, may not be the same now for whatever reasons. I do know this...if I had a shop, I'd be working to fix this with my customer somehow. And...I'd state it here, saying "We've both made mistakes, and yes it's taken me too long, yes we've had problems, but I'm going to fix it!!!" Ignoring phone calls and emails from a paying customer is a really bad business practice. It makes people really angry. Ask me how I know!
