I'm looking for a harmonic balancer for my 322. Was changing hoses today and I went to see if I could move the fan blade a bit and noticed there was free play. Anyways it must have came loose at one time and they just tightened it. The key way in the balancer is waddeled out. Crank only appears to be a lil messed up on the very front. so I think I will be OK with a new balancer.

Guess it would help if I included year. 1955 Buick Century.

TA Performance did get back to me. They don't stock a Nailhead specific balancer but gave the following information -----
" if someone is doing an engine rebuild they can balance the rotating assembly to the Buick 455 balancer. The 455 balancer works if it is turned around, then transfer the timimg marks to the backside for the Nailheads "

    Any comments please.

I have seen in another thread that Tom Telesco has Romac balancers for the Nailhead. Im not sure if they are just for 401/425 or if they also list one for the 264/322.

Romac are also in Australia so maybe they are worth a phone call and can put one together for you?

Thanks Ross, I'll give them a call. I did contact Precision Parts in NSW as suggested by wkillgs ( Walt ) but they want $400 + shipping to rebuild :blast:
could be more $$ upon inspection. I'm not desperate for one, the unit I have here seems OK, but I'm concerned about the hard rubber. Can't see too much damping being achieved with that. As suggested before , DamperDudes do a rebuilt unit, just shipping for it and a core exchange is a killer.
There was NOS one on Ebay last week. Listed for $25 with a Buy it now of $100. I emailed seller 3 times asking ( almost pleading ) if he would send USPS international but he refused. I don't get it ??? My feedback rating is 100%. I would have paid the $100, it went for 1 bid at $25 :af:
It's not the first time sellers refuse to ship international. It's hard enough finding parts down here as it is.

I would be keen to find out if the 455 option is viable and has anyone done it.
