I agree! It would be great to get a local Bay Area club formed again. If anyone is interested, I am happy to organize it. My personal opinion is that membership should be free and we should not be worried about being an "offically" sanctioned club since we will never get enough Buick people on the west coast. Let's do it to have fun and to help each other and to exchange knowledge, parts, labor, etc. I know at least 12 Buick owner's who would be interested. I also think it might be a good idea to open membership up to other muscle cars such as 442's, GTO's, etc (that statement should generate so controversy!). Brian
Would you guys consider becoming the NoCal branch of the BPG? If you already have 12 or so that would be interested it would be a good start. And there's a ready-made event waiting for you in Vegas. The BPG is a major sponsor of this event and we sure could use more V8 cars participating. I understand it's a trek from San Fran and other parts of northern California but it's a heckuva good time. The SoCal GS club is a pretty big part of the V8 crowd there; maybe you could put your heads together and make it work for everyone. We're trying to grow this event, you guys could sure help that happen. I suppose a requirement would be annual membership in the BPG ($35) but I don't see why you couldn't decide for yourselves whether you want "local" dues.
