The starter of the club has been building his 70 Yellow X since I have been a member, 12 years, club long defunct as not enough membership, but.........here it is the X......... along side my friends one owner Bamboo 70 Conv and my Blue 70 Conv. Rare sightings out here on the same day. Ed Hegarty is in Richmond if memory serves me. Thx JA

An aquaintance Good afternoon: He is just an aquantance from years ago. He used to specialize in Oldsmobiles and Buicks. Sounds like he is still in that area of business. He had a recking yard in Richmond years ago. Thx JA

This thread sure brings back old memories! I used to publish the newsletter, as John mentioned, for GSWest right up until we disbanned it. We tried to become an "offical" chapter of the GSCA but we couldn't get the required 13 GSCA members. Lassetter (sp?) even lowered the requirement to 11 for us but, sadly, we still didn't make it. Doug Frasure was the director for many years. I think Doug visits this board every so often. He moved to the LA area and is active in the SoCal GS club. GSWest still exists on the web (see www.gswest.com and www.largeimage.com/users/Gswest). I am attaching a picture of the garage of one of our old club members. Lookin at it, you can see a GSX from each year they were made. The 71 and 72 are 4-speeds while the 70 is an automatic. All 3 are 455's. IF you have a good memory, you may remember these cars from MuscleCars magazine in 1996. Brian
