Re: gsx values John, Great that you put your daughter first. By the way, if you decide to sell, take the groom-to-be out to the garage, put your arm around him and say" You see that car? I love that car, but I love my daughter even more. And I'm willing to give it up in order to give her to you, so I'd better not find that I made a mistake in giving up either one". The poor kid will never look at you the same again and the first grandchild will be named after you, even if it's a girl. The costs of weddings are ridiculous and not one of them should cost what your X is worth, regardless of whether you would have to sell or not. If you sell take half, put it towards the wedding and take the other half and buy a nice GS. (I'd still give the little speech)
To one bad GS DAUGHTERS WEDDING 1 BAD GS I had to do the same thing when my daughter got married in 2000, I had a Flame Orange Met. 1972 GSX white int. 455 stage 1 the car was perfect in all areas won many shows, but like you said family first but now I wish I would have tried a loan first than if it didn't work out than sell the car and pay it back, because after she was married I ran into some money and didn't after all sell it, now the guy who has it is asking two times as much and I think he sold it ou: so think about it at all angles, if it wasen't for a friend of mine selling his 70 GSX about two months later I would not ever have another, its in my Avatar the pic. Dan.
BOY, ME TOO JIM! I'VE BEEN TOLD THERE WAS ONE SOUTHWEST OF ME BUT, WHEN I PUSH HIM IT'S NOT FOR SALE. I'VE NEVER SEEN ONE, NOR HAVE I SEEN ANYONE ON HERE TALK ABOUT ONE. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD STICK MY NECK OUT AND ASK POINT BLANK. THANKS EVERYBODY, YOU MAY HAVE SAVED MY PAY CHECK. ALL THE BEST TO ALL OF YOU. THANKS KEN LISK
