GS & Skylarks- Letters In or Letters Out? - Post Pics too!

One of my first jobs, (age16) was a driver for Lil' John Lombardo. (Famous Funny car owner/driver)
I took one of his company trucks in for tires and came back with raised white letters out.
John & the crew & everybody else gave me *#&^ about it. made me go back and have them changed to black wall.
Since then, every tire I've put on has been black wall.
Their reason: white wall tires meant you were gay in the early 80's here in So. Cal.
Parked, yes, they were just RWL. driving those letters turned to bright white walls. ou:

 

I'm a fan of both. I didn't think lettering would look good on my set up so I went with out them.

 

I usually like the letters out.

 

White out.

 

No whites on the 17's though.

I think you are right on for your car. For a car with big rims and lowered as much as yours, all black is the way to go.

 

as most say the buick ralley looks best with solid letters out and 17'' only all black
