  1. SWEET!
Just the kind of info I am looking for.
As I posted previously, I'm trying to document the dealership. That info sure helps narrow down when they were bought out.

Mike - thanks for the reply on Lang Buick - Kankakee, IL You siad the dealer code was 10-309. The info I got from the Sloan Museum shows the dealer code was 15-309 and they hand wrote Lang Buick - Kankakee on the info. they sent me.

Can you confirm the code (zone - is it 10 or 15). Maybe Sloan looked up the wrong dealer? Who would be dealer 15-309?

    Thansk,

    Ross Fisher

Zone 10 is Chicago, Zone 15 is Minneapolis.

15-309 is Kolar Buick-Opel in Duluth, MN

Not sure if Sloan got the dealer name wrong or the code :Do No:

HOLY CRAP that's freaky. I bought that car in 1986 or 87 in NJ but, the location explains the rear end. I don't know the ratio but that car would shift into second at 35 MPH and chirp the tires. I've heard that dealers in hilly areas sometimes got cars with high ratio rears. It all makes sense now 20 years later. Thanks man :TU: :TU:

    Henry,

My car was purchased in Pasadena, TX. I don't know the street address, but can't imagine there would be more than one Buick Dealer in Pasadena at the time.

I hope you can idenify the dealer for me.

    Thanks
