yep, according to a simple power-to-ET calculator, you could have your full weight car tow two 2500 pound hondas and run a 12.90.

Hey Mike, any chance of sending me those specs too? I've had my Dyno 2000 program for a while and would love to give it a crack at your engine. I also have a Drag program so I can load in your engine and car to see how close the numbers get.
By the way, those are some unreal numbers on the engine! :TU:

Hey JW, I come up with these numbers assuming a single plane intake, a 106* intake centerline and large tube headers.

    862 HP @ 7500 rpm

    682 TQ @ 6000 rpm

Hey Philip, I have a 482 Stage 2 motor for sale that has 700HP and only has 40 runs on it. Doug Hecker ran it in his car last season. All the good pieces in it, block and lifter girdles, new TA timing cover, roller rockers, aluminum rods, deep pan, etc. I bought it for a spare for my son's Skyhawk. Asking $6400 or best offer. Can deliver to Norwalk, the GS Nats or BCA Nats in Flint. Let's talk!!

    Re: JW's 494

    Hey Al,

It has been my experience that the Dyno2000 program is about 10% on the low side for torque. So figure closer to 740 lb ft torque.

And send me the #s if Mike sends them to you. I'd like to play with them too. Just to see how close I think I'll be to my #s with the 462 (if the friggin' thing ever gets built! the wait is killing me!).

I would love to cut up a car but not this one. This car needs to go back to stock appearing. It started out life as a GS455 4 speed non ac car. I plan to take a car to do that with or buy another already done. Oh yea it has to be STREET LEGAL STILL TOO :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:

"CUT-UP" is what people do to car because they have reached a point to where they have to and they don't know any better,so it's just slapped together to "get it done".

"FUNCTION" is a result of a plan that goes into someone's car when it considered to be "done right".

I think I'll copy those definations on a paper and hang it in my garage. It's a good motto to work by. :Smarty:

    Re: AND THE WINNER IS?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

The May issue of PHR magazine has a 705 ! CI Chevy that is only able to eak out 893 lb ft@4600 and 829HP@5300.

MAN! That's 170 CI more than your build!

And those idiot pundits in the Chevy camp are so brainwashed that they think theirs is the end-all of engines.

    morons.

    What a joke.

Looks like the Buick is going to win the BB Engine Masters Challenge and make everybody else look like fools. Mike, you should submit it as an entry! But the CI is limited to only 470.

To tell the truth I never intended to go as far with this car as I have... Yes I have welded the roll bar to the frame yes I have a ton of other holes on the car....BUT I can repair it easily at this time. (I have an awesome set of tools) And I know how to use them. (dont make fun of my timing light either)

I have everything to make my car original still and my plans are to run this thing this year and retire it to the SA ranks as a stick car again. I want to build a 10 inch tire car that makes it in by the skin of its teeth on weight. I want an 8 second chassis for my 8 second motor :eek2:

If everyone will stop bringing up BG last year and me sliding around we can put it behind us I wont be doing that again...... well unless BG sucks worse than usual :eek2:

    Amazing..

There's proof positive if you tell a guy somthing enough times.. it will finally sink in..

If it works on a "street guy" like MG.. it will work on anyone!
