Could be too many wild mushrooms. No such creature. No stage 1 350 heads or engines even much less stage 2.
John, I love the picture of those rarer than even the rare Stg2 heads! And I believe the flanges on the Kustom brand headers were originally made that way to clear the frost plug bosses on the prototype heads and they just kept producing them that way even for the production Stg2 heads. instead of going with a conventional style flange. That's my theory anyways....:3gears:
The cam specs for the Stage 2 were something like .490 intake and .490 exhaust. I believe the duration on the intake was 326 degrees and 340 degrees on the exhaust. The cam was made by Crower. There are two rings behind the first cam journal with a red dab of paint as an identifier.
On the tunnel port's? Are these the same ones Jim Bell said he had and was in the Kenne-bell sales book back in the 70-early80's?
leo455 asks, "On the tunnel port's? Are these the same ones Jim Bell said he had and was in the Kenne-bell sales book back in the 70-early80's?" I don't think so but I can't swear to that, as I have heard he was aware of them. According to Dennis Manner only 2 sets were made and one set was destroyed in testing. We have the other set that was delivered as a package with our 4-bolt main block. Duane PS. Our heads do have the "freeze plugs" between the header mounting flanges.
I'm looking to acquire a set of unmolested Stage 2 heads. Does anyone know of any that could be bought for a special project? Thanks!
