1967 Big Buick One day at a time.

My cousin died about 11 years ago and i was renting one of his apartments,.... when one night (about a year after his death) while i was taking a shower i thought my better half had walked in to use the bathroom. So i started talking to her like she was there, and finally i got tired of talking to myself so i pulled the shower curtain open and to my suprise there was nobody there. The only reason i thought she was in the bathroom was because while i was facing the lights i saw a sillohette of someone walking by. When i yelled to her and she was watching tv.

That isn't the only time we seen/heard things. One night my better half woke me up and asked me why they were having a meeting at 3 o'clock in the morning. (confrence room behind our bedroom wall) I was suprised to hear them moving furniture and mumbling. So i went outside to look in the window and see if there was anybody in the room but there wasn't a sole in there or was there ? Freaky if i do say so myself. I could go on ............

    unexplained phenomina

I was at the hospitol in Wheeling, WV., Dec. 30 of 1999, attending my passing daughter (hit by a speeding van on 12/27). As my wife and I walked out in the parking area to get into my car, I thought I saw her walk towards the car in front of me. After the emotions were somewhat back in check, I got in the car and sat for several minutes. I finally decided I was prepared to make the 2 hour drive home. As I put the key in the ignition, and started the car....the radio came on and playing was the opening lines of Creed's then hit song, "What's this life for?" The song opens...."Hooray for, a child that makes it through".......

    I am positive that wasn't a fluke.....

    My garage is haunted..no joke

There are actually a few unexplained things that have happened in my garage during late night wrenching. One night I was porting a set of heads home alone, and went into the house to get a coke. I came back out, and the wrenches and stones for my grinder were gone. I hunted around for them for about an hour, and finally found them on top of a cabinet on the south wall of our shop, laid perfectly next to one another. I noticed them while climbing the stairs to the upper portion of the shop, as the stairs are located near the cabinet. I was only out of the shop for about 30 seconds to get the beverage, and nobody could have come by in that amount of time, (I also live in the middle of the country) nor could they have been dropped from upstairs. I got a ladder, and retrieved the missing tools very creeped out. I think its my grandpa messing with me because we built this shop shortly after his death...still gives me chills.
Another time a friend of mine was helping me work on my mud dragger, and I went into the house to use the restroom. When I returned to the shop, my friend was sheet white. He explained to me that while I was in the house, he had his back turned working on the rig, he HEARD the door to the shop open, then close, and heard footsteps walk up behind him, naturally assuming it was me. He turned around to ask me a question, and nobody was there. I was still in the house. He was very shaken up. That same night, another friend of mine came over to help. While we were working, he remarked.."whose upstairs shooting pool?" We all stopped, and heard footsteps upstairs, and shuffling around. It sounded like somebody was dragging a chair across the floor. Needless to say, we all had enough of this fright for one night, so we shut er down pretty quickly for the evening. Am I the only guy who has a haunted shop??

Anyone else have "deja vue" dreams? I get them alot. The biggest deja vue dream I ever had was when I was a kid. Long story short, my grandpa's car crashed into a tree in my dream (nitemare) which I had about twice a week for a couple of months. Eventually he sold it because of me and my dreams. Two weeks after he sold it, the kid that bought it wrapped it around a tree completely destroying the car and putting himself in a coma for 4 days and a hospital stay of 2 months.

I have had some wierd experiences. About two months ago I was up making my breakfast and I heard a ticking sound start from the living room. The cookoo clock my girlfriend got from relatives in Germany started up on it's own! It hadn't been run in months! It ran for hours before my girlfriend decided to shut it down! As for me I have that strange 6th sense. I can feel when something bad is going to happen or if I am going to run into someone I dont really want to see. It freaks my girlfriend out. I had that feeling really strong when my then wife went to her dads cottage to "be alone and sort out what she wanted to do about our marriage". I got a really bad feeling that something was wrong-I started to get the shakes etc. I called her and when she hung up the phone didnt "catch". Thats when I heard the soft background music start and the voice of another guy.....she's my ex wife now!

YES... I've had them ALOT as well. Mine are more like "Snap shots" though. Usually take place about 3mo to 1yr after I have them. I've had those with all of my jobs, girlfriends, even cars. Freaky.

I could go on and on about strange Coincedinces (SP) to. The story of how my wife and I meeting is enough to make one believe in some kind of Divine intervention...

There are just too many strange things that happen out there, for it not to be true. Might not be exactly what we believe it is (ghosts, spriits, angels.. etc), but there definatley is something.

There is pleanty of BS out there too...

    anybody want this Jar????

I loved to read stories about ghosts and haunted houses when I was a teenager, but didn't believe the stories were real until recently. This summer, I spent the night in a hotel in St. Louis and woke up in the middle of the night, out of a sound sleep. I opened my eyes and saw a dark form at the side of the bed. I yelled, jumped up and turned the light on. Nothing there. I'm a very sound sleeper, so I didn't imagine it. The next morning, my throat was hoarse from yelling, so I didn't imagine that part either.

One of my grandmother's could never wear a wrist watch - she said they all stopped working within days of getting a new one. She finally gave up and always wore a pendant type hung from a necklace.

I know this because as a child, I remember always playing with it hanging from her neck....and remember asking why she didn't wear a regular watch like everyone else.

Many many years later, when she was in a nursing home and pretty much "Out of it" Both physically and mentally, I used to go visit her alone as I had a friend nearby (it was about an hours' drive from where i was living).

Well....one time I visited her in the morning and was going to spend the day with my friend. Before leaving her.....I had an idea. As I was leaving, I put my wrist watch on her arm, kissed her and told her I'd see her this afternoon.

When I returned, the watch had stopped working about 10 minutes after I left. I took it in for repair and they said they couldn't figure out what was wrong :eek2: This was not a cheap watch either, and I had it for several years prior and NEVER had a lick of trouble with it.....until

Is it a battery operated watch?

My buddy's dad can't wear them either. They figure it is his electro-magnetic field (which we all have) whichjust saps batteries. Anyway, it has something to do with that.

One night I had a dream of an old house. A year later I described it to my Aunt which told me I described her old house to a T. I told her about a sunkin living and bedroom floor, curtains, the glass doors, staircase, the smell of the kitchen, the coldness of the back bedroom, the tunnel to the backyard, the carpets, woodwork, etc. She moved from this house 2-3 years before I was born!!!!!! sent chills up my spine.

I also worked in a bowling alley that was haunted. I kept that to myself for the first two years I was there (I thought this was my imagination running wild and didnt want to be laughed at)Till I shared a story with a coeworker. He had simular experiences. I worked there for 7 years and have dozens of stories! I would hear foot steps of someone walking up the lane, turn around only to find I was alone. These are wooden lanes and make alot of noise when walked on! This happened alot.
I was the man that shut down and locked the place. The next day I was the person that opened it. Only to find that someone(or thing) turned on my shop lights and some tools where missing. Asked the owner and manager if they came in during the night, both said no. only us 3 had the key and alarm code! This happened a few times.
I use to read books in back. I would see a shadow out of the corner of my eye. Got up only to find again I was alone. Continued reading my book and this shadow passed going the other way about 5 minutes later. This happened all the time.
Nothing bad ever happened just wierd things
I have a ton more but Iam getting carpeltunel,Dave

I've had a few really strange experiences here in Okinawa, which is regarded as haunted by many Japanese...1/3 of the entire population was killed during the Battle for Okinawa in WW2. But the most recent event for me was just 3 weeks ago. I was in bed, asleep, when suddenly I awoke somehow knowing something was terribly wrong. I woke up my wife & said that someone I know is in trouble! I went downstairs to my computer (I was downloading large files with dialup) and checked my e-mail, to see if anyone had contacted me. No new e-mails, so I disconnected from the net & the instant I did my phone rang! It was my Mom, calling from the US in Ohio. I asked what happened, because I knew somehow something had...she told me that my younger brother had been in a bad car accident up in Tokyo (he's also in the Air Force) and his car was totalled, he couldn't walk & no one knew just how bad of condition he was in. I took leave as soon as I could & got up there to help him out. Luckily, he wasn't hurt too bad, one sprained ankle, the other foot has a broken toe (why he couldn't walk), lots of bruises & cuts, some stitches in his forehead (yes he was wearing a seatbelt). I helped him strip down his car so he wouldn't lose everything out of the accident. I have dreams all of the time that come true...weird.

    desertrat_1960 DIE !!! RICE BOY...ZERRP!

Just because ya' can't see them.........

    Doesn't mean they aren't there .
I lived in England for 8 years . It's pretty busy with alot of "Spectral Activity"
I mostly lived off base . Had the utter joy of living in 2 old homes .
First was in Feltwell in North Eastern England . I rented a 350 year old Cottage that had been totally remodeled and modernized . It had 16-18" thick Flint Stone walls and had been 2 cottages at one time . You could see were the floor rose to the other end of the living room and another Coal Fire .
That's where the open stairs led up .
It was Cool but a bit spooky .Just about every night you'd hear footsteps coming up and the other bedroom door close . Most of time I lived alone there and it wasn't me !! I was the one in the other room goin' "Oh sh*& what was that ? I had a cat but he wasn't too concerned so I didn't mind too much .
Second was a 450 year old Converted Row House (Sixplex) converted into a 3 Plex that overlooked the "Umpteen 100 year old graveyard" and had ,get this.... Under ground tunnels that ran from the houses to the Church in the village :jd: in Mildenhall in the same region . They were used I guess ,during the persecution . It was a three bedroom with a small formal dining room. The side that would have been the second home had the living and seperate dining room was Spooky at any time of the day . I never used the dining room it was too "Dark" ,you could see where the tunnel entrance had been capped it had a low spot in the floor agianst the wall about 2x4' .
It happened about a week or so after my fiance and I and her son had moved in . I woke up about 2 AM. and there was an Old Lady standing in the doorway to the hall . I about S%$# myself and hid under the covers for the rest of the night . Had my future Mum In Law and fiances sister over for dinner . When they left the Mum said she couldn't come back that the home was Haunted and an Old Lady was trapped upstairs !! I talked to Trish about this and she said "sure " I knew that !! (why are us men the last to know ?) the first night we got here ! Gee thanks !! By then I had seen The "Old Girl" more than enough , usually between 1:30-4 AM either in the doorway or at the foot of the bed on my side ..
What made this place REAL Spooky was not only the graveyard across the street or the Dark Downstairs was the friggin' bedrooms .
2 where at the streetside facing East and one on the back side .
Both of the rooms at the street side were the SAME SIZE, SAME WINDOWS
Same amount of panes . Walk into our room with the blinds up and it looked like the shades were down the room on the other side of the house (remember this was 2 sep. cottages ) the room next to ours was Sunny and Bright !! It got so bad and so dark there that I moved out after a month .I wouldn't go there alone (moved fiance back to her old house) when I did go in I turned every light in the house on and had someone follow me . I ended up at the girls' place .... a 90 mile round trip to the base every day .
I've had several since childhood but these were the most "Unsettling"

That my Story an' I'm stickin' to it !

    ^Wow.^

I probably would have gone crazy seeing a ghost standing by my bed everytime I woke up during the night.

All it would take is to wake up and see some strange old lady standing at the foot of my bed just ONCE.

Then I'm living in my car in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

The battery doesn't matter. Battery units get drained, but on mechanical watches the hands act like antennae and get magnetized.

I can't wear either kind, but I like my pocketwatch better anyways :bglasses:

    Ghosties & Goblins

Yeah Yardley , I thought of that too. !!!
One Major Problem . No Wally Worlds in England .
I was outta there ,by NO means soon enough .
I've witnessed FOG Bank that hung over a large hill at the Carson River in Nevada then started down the hill . All the birds stopped and it got TOO quiet . You're thinking fog in Nevada ? Yeah maybe in Springtime but this was in the dead of summer at about 5 o'clock in the evening ! We were gone from the place . Same area a year later we were camped at on the river . That night , around midnight we heard this gawd almighty splash and several more after that . There was no reason for it . It sounded like huge rocks hitting the water !! . We split went back during the day , there were no rocks near the bank and the water there was lazy (barely any current) . Unexplained ! Spooky yes , way toooo wierd !
I totally believe in the Spirit Realm etc . I've seen and heard alot that I thought Not Possible .
My dad died suddenly in 81' , we had a Great Dane she would walk into the hallway ,look at his side of the bed and growl , just this low rumble in her chest . Then she'd go and lay down by my mother and watch their bedroom .
I tried to muscle her into the room during one of these episodes she turned
and bit me !! It lasted about a month then she stopped . I think the Ol' Man was not ready to go and was still there .
