    Thanks Dawg. :TU:

I searched all over (local speed shops/auto parts) for a lower radiator hose for ther Buick 455. I finally found it at NAPA ... I had to order it today ... it arrives tomorrow. Once the fans are on tomorrow ... we start my motor.:TU: I am already having trouble sleeping (lol).

... took this pic today. After the lower radiator hose tomorrow, the engine/tranny/rear gets filled with oil & the Griffin and resivour tank gets filled with 50/50 coolant, and the dual Derale 4000-cfm puller electric fans will spin as we start the motor TOMORROW 4-SURE.:TU:

Thanks a lot. That explains everything. My previous Regal had sbc in it and i had to grind the upper a-arm a bit, so i would imagine there would be a lot more with the added width of the 455 and the larger tubed headers.

That engine looks really sweet sittin in there. How much clearance do you have around the headers? I would imagine there isn't much wiggle room at all?

You are correct. I measured 1-inch between the upper control arm's bolts. The motor could have gone @ 1/2-inch over to the driver's side ... providing more clearance/wiggle room on the passenger's side. If I am not mistaken, the Regal sits @ 2-inches lower in the front. Can this be because of the ChromeMoly upper control arms??? (I feel this Buick 455Regal is heavier than my Pee-Gee Buick 455Regal ...
this one has headers and the heavy deep tranny oil pan). :Dou:

NAPA ordered from a warehouse somewhere in NJ, a 1973 Buick 455 Electra 225 (NBH curved radiator hose) #7644 (price $18.45). :TU:

    Meineke anyone??? lol :TU:

Actually, the Olds 307 that once resided in my Regal Special-T had an aftermarket dual exhaust system already on it when I bought it. I hoped the tranny crossmember mod for the Olds 307 would be fine for my Buick 462 ... wrong. I already contacted gbodyparts.com for a used/cheap 200r4 crossmember for my visit to Meineke. so-far-so-good.

I don't understand why you would have to retorque a head bolt on a motor that hasn't been run yet??

maybe head gasket upside down or wrong heads and wrong gasket for the year heads
