We are new to Buicks in general and just hooked up with LSPBC a few months ago and they are definately as a nice a bunch of folks as you could hope to hang out with.

I know the Buick count is low but at least some of you guys have large cruise nights. I live in Champaign Illinois, pretty much right in the center of the state. Our typical cruise night only has about 20 cars. I need to move. Too many corn fields for me anyway.

There are lots of cruise nights in the Chicago area, and I agree with Mike, the Lemont one is really great. Loyd and I went last year on Buick night, and it was our 20th wedding anniversary!!

We advertise all the Buick specific cruise nights on our website and in our newsletter, and have come to the conclusion that you can't make people go to things. All you can do is provide the opportunity and cross your fingers.

Our biggest show is on the 4th of July, in Woodridge. Mike - have you ever come to that? Sometimes as many as 60 Buicks!

    When will spring get here??

Hi Shari, haven't talked to you since the Mickeys cruise. Hope everything is good with you and Lloyd. :) I wasn't aware of the Woodridge one, I'll have to check it out!!! :)
I agree, you can't force people to come to the cruises. Just wish more would come out to support the team.

No, a Dart Swinger with a 340 in it. Plain jane with crank up windows and no air. That is a very easy resto to me! When you do a Riv. it cost lots of money and you have all those options to get operable. Later on in the summer, he placed 1st in his class only to be beat by a Hemi charger for best of show. Granted, the Charger was very nice.

Looks like I'll be going to Chicago a few times this summer. I've been wanting to go to more Chicagoland events.

    Tom,

Rally Insurance sponsers almost all of the big ones around here.
Here is a link to the web site. They have a calender of events there.

The biggest one seems to be the Lemont Cruise every Wednesday evening throughout the Summer. They have gotten upwards of 1000 cars there a few times last year.
There is also nice ones in Joliet and Lockport every week as well.
Hope to see you and your wife at a few. The more Buicks the better. :TU:

Not many Buicks here either....but they are growing slowly in number. ihave been seeing a few GN's and a few 66-67's this year. Usually about 200 or so cars every week...usually more.

Buicks are allowed at cruise nights? It is funny how many buicks show up for the local "All Buick" shows but most never show up any other time. I used to attend 2 cruise nights a week before I had kids (3 year old and 10 month old). Now I am lucky to get to one a year... Soon, the boys will be old enough to go with..:TU:

Joe, You will see me this year at one of the local cruise nights near Buffalo....:beer
