Heres a recreation mobile for ya. All you'd need to do is bolt on some rallys, DE-bugshield and DE-mudflap it. Check it out HERE

It's down the street from me....well, kinda.

This guy has been selling some pretty cool Buicks lately. He has a 71 LeSabre droptop for sale right now.

Of course he wants too much for all of them.

I'd add the Rallyes but leave the bug shield and mud flaps. Those are so true to the period. All you need is some wood grain for the sides and ....:3gears:

I think you can pretty much expect that if anyone mentions adding rallye wheels or lowering a car it won't be long before I'll be posting a 'quicky' photoshop rendition. It's like a gauntlet.

I hereby declare that I can lower and add Rallye wheels to any car - in photoshop. Some colour changes are also possible. In some cases, I can also add superchargers but that takes much more work to look correct. I wonder if anyone would pay me to do it. Sure would be a fun way to earn a living. I could work in high resolution and produce prints.

    Mmmm, something to think about.

Ok. It might be interesting to watch as I go along...

First thing I woud do is play with the levels to bring out the correct exposure for the shot...

    Then I'd add the rims...

...but they don't look right do they? They are too bright and more in focus than the rest of the car and the photo...

So, I altered some levels, decreased saturation, darkened them up a little and added some blur and I think they are starting to look more real...

    Bill,

But can you add the woodgrain sides?

    Patience grasshopper.

You must learn to lower yourself before the woodgrain will come.

Mmmm. Is it low enough though?

    Ahhhh, that's better...

But, can you see that the rear of the back wheel doesn't look right? Needs a bit of black airbrush to fill it up.

Pffft, pffft, pffffffffft, pffffft, pfft....stand back. That's better but there's still something missing...mmm what could that be?
