Looks good, but I cannot upload any photo files directly from my desktop as they're too large for the server. :Do No: Oh well, I can always use photobucket. :pp

    How big are they?

I actually thought I tried that, and they loaded.

I tried an 8mb pic...straight from my camera and no go (gave a fatal error)...I had to use a resized pic :)

Mine were 3.24 MB, which now appears too large. It's not a major issue to use photobucket instead. :TU:

Ya, checked into it last night after asking..

Currently, the size limit is 1024KB I changed it to 3MB, but I got the "too big to process" error on uploading, and the upload was slow.

    I fell victim to this..

When I upload pics from my camera, I do it with a free program call Picassa3.. plug the memory card in the computer, and one of the options is to upload with that program..

Then, I export back out of that program to the customer's file (say, for an engine build) with pictures that are resized to 800x600 pixels which typically is 200-300KB

I had just selected a couple of those, when testing picture uploads. That size picture loads very fast, and shows up nicely.

I will investigate how big a picture we can upload, but in sending thousands of pics via email, and uploading them to photobucket over the years,. that 800x600 size works out well.

That size also works well for Craigslist, I've found.

    Omg omg omg ..

.. a search function that returns useful info

    Im in tears

In all honesty JW .. I considerably slowed down on the amount of help I provided here because it was just too difficult to find the threads to link to (and I'm too old to remember off hand and hate giving incorrect info)

It did.. we did not have the spam controls turned on..

Things like this are why that site is up now, in beta.. so we can work out the bugs and issues first.

It actually should be better yet.. We paid for an "enhanced search engine".. that software has not been installed as of the last time I asked Mike about it.. they were working on it. There was some integration issue.

But yes, even the standard search is better than VBulletin 4's mess.
