Gee, I wonder what the reaction of the Left would have been if Kerry would have gone? I can pretty much guess what the reaction of the troops woould have been.

smartin, i did take into consideration the "unskilled" cut. It looked to me like the first cut from ear to ear did the job. the repeated blows seem only to get through the bone. it looked like he was killed, throw on the floor then beheaded.
i meant, throw on the floor, killed then beheaded, it seemed to take two cuts and a few sawing motions.

IMHO, Rumsfeld is only doing his job. Georgy boy, on the other hand, was hell bent on going into Iraq (for all those WMD's:rolleyes: )without the backing of the UN or many of our allies. I think and hope this will cost him the next election........4 more years of rule by this idiot will surely have consequences that reach even further than the mess he has gotten us into already. The effects of his foreign and domestic policies will surely be felt by generations to come, and the image of our country in the eyes of other countries has been badly tarnished. I only hope that the person who replaces this guy can repair the damage that has been done. I am at the point I don't even want to watch the news anymore.......life as we knew it has been changed forever.

Watch and see, the wildcard he is holding is doing something about high gas prices just before the next election. I sincerely hope the American people are not that stupid to fall for that trick. I never liked that guy from day 1, and I felt he stole the election and if his brother (the other son of a Bush) wasn't the governor of Florida he never would have gotten in in the first place. If Jeb Bush ever gets elected president, I'm changing my citizenship. (if there's a world left)

All I can say is, we all need to pray to God very badly.:bglasses:

I just gotta say my $.02... I am a SSG US Army who has many friends fighting in Iraq right now. First, my heart goes out to that young mans family and friends. What an atrocity. How can anyone who violates the life of another in such a brutal way be considered human? I would say that was a desperate effort to make themselves feel superior in some twisted way, like a bully picking on a smart kid x10. second... Every man/woman serving in the US Army is fully aware of the hazards of their occupation. We accept these risks knowingly and willingly to defend the freedom that our citizens (even the ones want the RIGHT to burn our great countrys' flag) take for granted every day. I have been in the Army for nine years now, and have never had second thoughts when re-enlistment time comes around. I have not been to Iraq, but I have been deployed. As glad as I and my family are that I am stateside still, I would glady answer my countrys' call. In fact, I find myself feeling guilty at times for not being there. Third... How can you fight terrorists??? If we were to just "Nuke em", we would be as guilty as they are! I know that some are skeptical about our commander-in-chief's decisions, but I support them. Not all the population in Iraq are terrorists, just as not all Germans were Nazi's. This is a very difficult problem to solve, If we pull out and leave, what will stop them from committing even more terrorist acts against us? Now they will think they won. If we level the whole country, then we have to answer to our maker, and the entire world will see us as "just another bulley". I for one refuse to sink to the level of a terrorist. I support our governments strategy of weeding out the terrorists. While I regret the amount of time it will take, and the lives it will cost, I can not see any other viable solution.

Well lets see, the UN didn't back us because it turns out they all had there hand in the cookie jar to the tune of being the largest money scam in the history of the world. Also when did Germany and France become "many" ? The French have never really been an allie since WW2, and even then they faught harder under the German flag then they did there own. 35 nations involved and people still use the word unilateral. :Dou:

This was gonna happen sooner or later. We can't go on indefinetly with our heads in the sand hoping that someday the Islam fundies will get tired of blowing up Westerners. How Bush is judged in the future has alot to do with if Iraq can get a stable democracy. Stamping out the dictators and theocrats that spread the anti US propaganda is where it has to begin. It may be rough times now, but if democracy can get a foot hold in the ME life for our children will be MUCH safer.

You really ought to read about what happened in Florida before stating that the election was stolen. Every recount showed Bush the winner. Even after all the Millitary absentee votes (which generally always go Republican) were not included he still won every time. Jeb Bush had nothing to do with the recount. Why would he want one when Bush showed up as the winner on the first count? That fiasco was all Democrats. The US Supreme Court stepped in because the democrat controlled Florida supreme court who were running the recount over stepped there authority when it became apparent that they were going to keep doing recounts until there boy Gore finally got the numbers. I thank God we have the electoral college. That way mega populaces like California and New York do not decide alone who are next president will be.

Bush ain't perfect by any stretch. But I sure bet Osama and the rest of his ilk would rather have a waffler like Kerry in the Oval Office then Bush, who is and will continue to take the fight to these animals.

As an Australian who has been working all over the middle east since 1988 I still see these people as like they come from another planet. What we find as terrible they see as normal, they'll cut off your head or hand, string you up from a crane in the soccer stadium, treat women like dogs or worse and they reckon that the law of God for them is justified in Allah's name. The Japs did terrible things to people so did the Germans and the Vietcong.
There were situations where Australians took no prisoners and shot those that attempted to surrender in any of those conflicts and probably along aside our American allies as well.
When Dresden was burnt to ground or Hanoi was bombed did any one say all stop we might be killing innocent people we didnt win WW1 or any other war by showing mercy.
I know a few Arabs who are ok people, but how to sort out this mess, innocents are going to die, this is war not a game.
The media is powerfull weapon that works for both sides.
If we blast these people into submission we will always be looking over our shoulders because they will always hold a grudge against us,thats the way they are" The enemy of my brother is my enemy" and all that.
I cant see any quick way out, we're all in it together for as long as it takes.
I am thankfull that no Australians have died yet,and thankful to all the allies that have given their lives.
It's going to get worse before it gets better,If Iwas still in the army and I was there I wouldn't be taking any prisoners that's for sure.

Kerry is JOKE ad Bush will serve a second term.
You may not like him but he is real and not willing to sell his soul to get a vote like Kerry.
I'm sure when you see Kerry on stage with Jackson, Sharpton, Kennedy, Hillary etc... it makes you feel safer as an American!
You may not like Bush but he is real and not willing to sell his soul to get a vote like Kerry. It's proven that what Kerry stands for is based on what forum he is in when speaking.

The facts on Kerry's votes/comments regarding Iraq, terrorism
and how he really cares about our troops:

    Flip-Flopped On Iraq War

    Kerry Voted For Authorization To Use Force In Iraq. (H.J. Res. 114, CQ Vote #237: Passed 77-23: R 48-1; D 29-21; I 0-1, 10/11/02, Kerry Voted Yea.)

In First Dem Debate, Kerry Strongly Supported Presidents Action In Iraq. KERRY: George, I said at the time I would have preferred if we had given diplomacy a greater opportunity, but I think it was the right decision to disarm Saddam Hussein, and when the President made the decision, I supported him, and I support the fact that we did disarm him. (ABC News, Democrat Presidential Candidate Debate, Columbia, SC, 5/4/03)

Kerry Later Claimed He Voted To Threaten Use Of Force In Iraq. I voted to threaten the use of force to make Saddam Hussein comply with the resolutions of the United Nations. (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At Announcement Of Presidential Candidacy, Mount Pleasant, SC, 9/2/03)

Now, Kerry Says He Is Anti-War Candidate. CHRIS MATTHEWS: Do you think you belong to that category of candidates who more or less are unhappy with this war, the way its been fought, along with General Clark, along with Howard Dean and not necessarily in companionship politically on the issue of the war with people like Lieberman, Edwards and Gephardt? Are you one of the anti-war candidates? KERRY: I am -- Yes, in the sense that I dont believe the president took us to war as he should have, yes, absolutely. (MSNBCs Hardball, 1/6/04)

Flip-Flopped On View Of War On Terror

Kerry Said War On Terror Is Basically A Manhunt. Kerry was asked about Bushs weekend appearance on Meet the Press when he called himself a war president. The senator, who watched the session, remarked: The war on terrorism is a very different war from the way the president is trying to sell it to us. Its a serious challenge, and it is a war of sorts, but it is not the kind of war theyre trying to market to America. Kerry characterized the war on terror as predominantly an intelligence-gathering and law enforcement operation. Its basically a manhunt, he said. You gotta know who they are, where they are, what theyre planning, and you gotta be able to go get em before they get us. (Katherine M. Skiba, Bush, Kerry Turn Focus To Each Other, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 2/13/04)

Two Weeks Later, Kerry Flip-Flopped, Saying War On Terror Is More Than A Manhunt. This war isnt just a manhunt a checklist of names from a deck of cards. In it, we do not face just one man or one terrorist group. We face a global jihadist movement of many groups, from different sources, with separate agendas, but all committed to assaulting the United States and free and open societies around the globe. (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At University Of California At Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, 2/27/04)

Flip-Flopped On Funding For Our Troops In Iraq

Kerry Pledged To Fund Reconstruction With Whatever Number Of Dollars It Took. NBCS TIM RUSSERT: Do you believe that we should reduce funding that we are now providing for the operation in Iraq? SEN. JOHN KERRY: No. I think we should increase it. RUSSERT: Increase funding? KERRY: Yes. RUSSERT: By how much? KERRY: By whatever number of billions of dollars it takes to win. It is critical that the United States of America be successful in Iraq, Tim. (NBCs Meet The Press, 8/31/03)

Then Kerry Voted Against Senate Passage Of Iraq/Afghanistan Reconstruction Package. Passage of the bill that would appropriate $86.5 billion in fiscal 2004 supplemental spending for military operations and reconstruction in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bill would provide $10.3 billion as a grant to rebuild Iraq, including $5.1 billion for security and $5.2 billion for reconstruction costs. It also would provide $10 billion as a loan that would be converted to a grant if 90 percent of all bilateral debt incurred by the former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein has been forgiven by other countries. Separate provisions limit reconstruction aid to $18.4 billion. It also would provide approximately $65.6 billion for military operations and maintenance and $1.3 billion for veterans medical care. (S. 1689, CQ Vote #400: Passed 87-12: R 50-0; D 37-11; I 0-1, 10/17/03, Kerry Voted Nay)

Kerry Later Claimed: I Actually Did Vote For The $87 Billion Before I Voted Against It. (Glen Johnson, Kerry Blasts Bush On Protecting Troops, The Boston Globe, 3/17/04)

I can provide a Kerry flip flop on every single major issue.

Mike, I can accept your opinion, however this war goes back to daddy Bush. When we interfered in Iraq's affairs 12 years ago, it was none of our business. Perhaps if we would have kept to ourselves those clowns would have left us alone. The only difference is that money and oil were involved. We have no right imposing Democracy on those who do not want it..........animals don't know what being civil means. They will kill themselves off for God's sake. Now we may have to take the blame for killing them when they would have just done it by themselves.

When our people were taken hostage by Iran back in the Billy Carter age, we didn't go in there like Jesse James (even though I thought we should have) and that blew over. We didn't spend mega millions of taxpayer dollars and risk the lives of our entire military trying to impose democracy on them. Look at what happenned in Bosnia in the early '90's, we layed low because it just simply WAS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS to be there.

I think history will show that this very idea that we can create a democratic country out of a place inhabited by animals who are living in biblical times is a huge mistake........ and a waste of time, money and human life.

We should be protecting our own borders with our military and forget about being so politically correct all the time while the rest of the world is laughing at us. They don't belong here any more than we belong over there.

I will repeat what I said above, PRAY A LOT.:beer

Perhaps the UN shouldnt have called us off the last time too. Then the 30,000 sheites wouldnt have been slaughtered after we left. And perhaps maybe we wouldnt be back there now if we would have finished the job the first time. And just maybe all the antiwar crybabies should quit screaming against Bush and start looking at the fact that Clinton could have had Bin Ladin several times but he was too stupid to do anything about it. He was too interested in having sex in the oval office, stealing furniture, and making the presidency look like a joke!

Now if anyone happens to have been watching the news programs you would also know that all the alcida ties to money and Sudam have been brought out to the public in the last few weeks.

Let's not forget that the U.N. supposedly "laid down the law" with Hussein but when push came to shove, wouldn't put their money where their mouth was. So we have to step in for the good of the order and to strike before being struck. For all those that complain about the lack of WMDs being found I ask what about the mass graves of half million that have been found in Iraq? The idiot was on a power trip and don't think that for one minute we weren't on Husseins hit list. You are correct Clinton was offered up this guy and he never acted. Too worried about the polls, selling overnight stays in the Lincoln bedroom to those stealing our technology I guess.

As much as people might hate bush, they would rather not have kerry in office. Kerry is dumb! But the reality is that Bush will probably win. It's like voting for two people that can't do the job well at all. So one of them has to win.

    Why?

Why arent we taking action in Iraq like we did in Desert Storm? I heard that we only have 70 M1 Abrams tanks in Iraq. That will not do the Job! We have to charge in there with hundreds of thousands of troops! Overwhelm them and say "if you touch any one of these brave troops, you have to deal with the rest of them. All 499,999 other troops!" :af: Then the war wouldnt go on as long, people could go home and the reconstruction would then finish and we would have are own oil colony. It's unfair in a way that because were such a great country that we have higher standards to live up to. They just released 300 people from that prison today. Just my 2cents.

At least Clinton's filandering didn't cost any American soldier's lives and put the security our entire population at risk. He was an excellent foreign diplomat. I'm sick of hearing people criticize him for the mistakes he made with his ! .

I have had enough of Bush's policies and will vote for the Democrat regardless of who he is. I don't always agree with democratic policies, but I surely disagree with the decisions this guy has made over the past 4 years.

Perhaps if your son or daughter was senselessly killed fighting this pointless war you would see things this way also. My son is 18 and could be drafted.........I will not allow this corrupt administration to jeapordize my son's life under any circumstances. His life is not worth one million iraqi lives as far as I'm concerned. They can all burn in hell, as they surely will. When our entire economy is based off of the use of fossil fuels I would say that involvment in the one region that has most of the oil is definetly OUR BUSINESS. They wouldn't have left us alone. They have been doing stuff like this long before the 1st Gulf War. Remember Beruit, Iran etc?

Uhm...we did go in there like Jessie James. Carter attempted a special forces rescue attempt. Unfortunatly it was very poorly planned and we ended up losing several soldiers.

I wouldn't exactly say we "layed low" in either Mogadishu or Bosnia. In fact, we had more troops in both conflicts then any other nation. Clinton escalated the fighting in Bosnia and good ol' Wesley Clark was relieved of command when his lowers refused to follow his orders because in there words: "didn't want to start World War III". Trying to start WW3 isn't what I'd call laying low.

I think the Japanese would disagree with you. They were as fanatical as the Islam Fundies are. There was ALOT more of them, and they were much better trained. Now they have the second largest GDP behind the US because we "forced" democracy on them.

I agree about protecting our borders and being too politically correct. I don't think the world is laughing at us. On the contrary, I think they realize that we are dead serious now and that the party is coming to a close for people that wish to use terror as a bargaining tool. Thanks to us being over there, it makes it much more difficult for them to do anything here. I would rather see the fight taken to them, then see another 9-11.

I agree. I pray for our troops who are putting their lives on the line so we can enjoy the lifestyle that the Islam fundies want so badly to destroy.
