To debut at the Chicago Auto Show next week, 2 engines available and one will the 3800 Series III Supercharged V6!!!   :beer :beer RV
Good Question? I haven't heard, but I'll ask around, and I hadn't even thought of it, but if it is RWD, then we've found my Mom's next car for sure! R
It looks are a little bland for my tastes. Is it just me or does any one else think it should be lower?
I like it It seems to have a little more aggressive styling than Buick is known for. The four door family sport coupe buyers should swipe em up. I dont know if I like the wraparound headlights but I guess they're all making em like that now. Dana
Remember the concept car LaCrosse? Why didn't they build that, it had some style.....this one seems kind of bland.... later Tim
Supercharged 3800??? blah. We need a turbo'd 3800!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't get it. It has been proven to be a very dependable and powerful engine. So why develop a supercharger??
Yeah! This car has the Northstar motor, sorry they did not lift the lid that day. So, no photo of the engine. sorry!
I don't like it. Just another "jellybean" car. But then again, I don't like any of the late models. I don't want to change the subject here, it's not like I'm a Ford fan, and not that I would ever buy one, but that new Mustang has caught my eye. :Brow:
Buick (and Pontiac, and Olds and Chevvy) have used a supercharged 3800 since the early or mid 90's. And the engine bay is already cramped in these modern FWD cars so a turbo and the tubing would be difficult to design. I had a Plymouth Acclaim with a 4 cylinder turbo and you had to pull the whole engine just to get the intake and exhaust manifolds off.
Do any of GM's design engineers have ANY originality or sense of style? Looks like a 4 door Grand Am with the Buick style grill. Talk about setting the bar low, that thing is about as exciting as a piece of toast. Yawn... :boring:
Roberta: Is this car in the same family as the Grand Prix? Any idea what the price point will be and when it will be released? Thanks in advance, Steve.
 I just read in "Buick Stories" they're planning on giving the Canadian-sold cars a different name due to that. We in the States however, get to continue going blind.
It has caught my eye as well! The Mustang is absolutley beautiful. I haven't had a new car excite me like that in years. This new LaCrosse doesn't look bad. Its obviously intended to be a volume seller, and thats a good thing for the division. Remember, for every GSX or GN to exsist, Buick also had to sale a thousand ordinary cars.
The Canadain car will be called "Allure"? The reasons the cars all look the same is they all use the same software to design them, so where have all the real designer 'car' people gone? They are sitting front of monitors all day not playing with clay or any other inventive real life like things!:ball:
