Now that winter is here I will be doing alot more target shooting at the indoor range. We have one at our department, so it's free! I also reload .45 ammo for my 1911's at home dirt cheap. Any one else on here shoot pistols?
I've got a Sig P239 in .40/357 Sig, but I haven't shot it in years. There's a range just down the street, but I've lived here a year and haven't made it down once. When I first started shooting, I went about once a week. But as priorities go, shooting dropped down the list.
I shoot a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 magnum that my dad left me when he passed away.I too, reload ALL of my own shells.I use a RCBS reloading press and reload rifle shells as well as pistol shells too.My dad was an avid hunter(sometimes outlaw :laugh and left me over 45 guns as well as all kinds of reloading items for rifle, shotgun and pistol. The 44 is my favorite to shoot and the next will be the .17 Rem 700 BDL rifle.I had chance to order some 320 gr. bullets and reload them this summer.Sure kick alot more than the 240 gr. bullets.Ihaven't been out to shoot lately but am getting the urge to now. Love SIGS....I have the 229 in .40/.357 sig (snappy round!), and a stainless 220. Excellent guns. Stable 'o guns (partial list anyways) Wilson Combat Protector .45 Wilson Combat KZ-45 Kimber Compact CDP II Glock 19 Glock 23 Glock 26 Sig 220ST Sig 229 CZ 75 Police CZ 40B Kel-Tec P32 Kel-Tec P380 Kahr P9 S&W 686 4" .357 S&W 646 4" .40 revolver! ....and multiple rifles... These things can get addictive! AND ya gotta buy a big stupid safe!
WOW. That picture of the Desert Eagle is cool...the slide hasn't even recoiled yet... Wait a minute...the hammer is cocked back. Weird.
here's the guy's website that owns that gun. He has some videos of it like the picture too. http://www.zvis.com/dep/dep.shtml
I just have a S&W Model 41 target .22. I shot in the Cuyahoga County Pistol League for 5 or 6 years. Made it to Expert class with a 283 or so average.
S&W 41...veeeeeeery nice. For those of you who don't know, the Model 41 is highly regarded as a excellent target .22
GUN CONTROL means HITTING YOUR TARGET! Yes, i shoot a Thompson 1911 copy in a winter league :Brow: Peace WildBill
ive got a stainless Taurus 938C .380 but dont shoot it a whole hell of a lot 'cause of ammo prices and no reloader. Good gun though, small frame for such a big bang. Had to use it to scare off a pack of wild dogs friday night about 10, figured id better walk outside with that to investigate the noise rather than a large rifle, in case it was a hunter or something. Anyways they walked around the corner of the house to where I was, Neither of us expected the other to be there,so we were all a bit startled. with about 6-7 feet between us I quickly cocked it and put 3 shots off, they split very quickly. This is out in the countryside btw, not in city limits. Also have a saiga ak-47 (my favorite gun) , mossberg 16 gauge, umc 12 gauge semi auto (antique but works great) 1890's .22 short rifle, dont remember maker and to lazy to go look , and a cheap .22lr rifle thats great fun for target shooting and dead on accurate. Would like to add a few more ak's and maybe a tec 9 in the near future
Ruger 22/45 .22 target pistol. Very accurate as well cheap fun. Rossi .357 magnum. I don't have a range near by so I usually just take the boys outside to do a little target shooting. Jamie is now 6 and Brian is 8 and they have both shot the above guns, but the .357 was loaded with low powered .38's Since both my boys have a strong interest in guns I make plenty of time to show them all about guns and teach them safety. The last 4 weekends we have gone off to the local turkey shoot(I am in charge of cleaning up all the feathers) and been wearing the men out. I usually don't shoot and just pay for my kids to shoot. Jamie won 10 out of 12 rounds in the BB gun shoots and was only beaten by his older brother. Brian won several rounds in the BB guns but loves to shoot grandpa's old 12 gauge. He won both of the kids shotgun rounds and 1 adult round out of three. They not only made me proud by their shooting skills but when Brian won money he payed for Jamie to shoot and when Jamie won a prize he shared it with big brother. I just bought Jamie and .22 and .410 two barrel combination Rossi and Brian got a New England .243 and 20 gauge two barrel combo. They are single shot break open rifles with the interchangable barrels. It is a sight to see Brian shooting that old light weight single shot 12ga. and watch his poor little head just snap back and he never complains and is dying to shoot my .308. They are both tuff boys so far.
If you need a couple of targets I can point you in the right direction. :blast: :bglasses: o No: Norde
