I'll second two of the above choices:

Ford's Sherwood Green, used since about 1956, is a great deep metallic green color. Buick's is not quite as striking (IMHO) as Ford's color.

Buick's Seamist Green, used since the 60's, just grows on you show after show as a really attractive medium shade.

Don't see how anyone could not like either of these.

I am with you about Seamist Harry. Did you see I posted a 70 GS455 Seamist for sale by a friend for only 5k. Seeing a real Seamist car from the factory is a rare event don't you agree?

    Jim,

Yes, I saw that posting. Sounds like a great buy for somebody with fewer hobbies than I currently have.

I am purchasing a '70 Skylark with original Seamist paint, black vinyl top, and black interior. Still not sold on the seamist color. I mean, it's ok but I haven't decided if I will keep it that color unless someone convinces me otherwise. Is it a rare color? Or just a rare color on a GS?

Just as an observation, without researching any archival data, I would think that Seamist Green was a popular color, as I have seen it on many cars at various shows.

I like green! My Wildcat Convertible is Sea Foam green, Black top, Black interior. Its a A-8 Super Wildcat convertible, has options from Cruise to Vacuum locks. Its getting a new paint job and they keep asking if I want to paint it black. I have to stay original and original is green.

    Earth Tones

    Good afternoon:
Glad there are many Green fans as most anything made in the 60's and 70's are earth tones. Green, Gold or Brown.
This includes houses, kitchens, cars etc.
It seems when I call on a car, it is almost always Green, Gold or Brown. Especially Buick's and Oldsmobiles.
My Camaro is Ash Gold (Greenish Gold) on Ivy Gold (Greenish Gold) interior.
    Happy New Year

One of my favorite cars I used to have was a forest green SS454 4 speed that i had to sell about 15 years ago. The only thing bad was that the interior was dark green also. It had the black stripes and the LS5 engine. My ex-wife made me sell it because she couldn't stand me having to spend a dime on it. Got rid of her also! Brian :Brow:

Green is Great ! I like all the factory greens. I've been a fan of green cars since I was a kid.

My 71 Stage 1 is verdemist green (dark metallic green like sherwood) with a dark green vinyl top and a saddle tan interior.
I think it looks great. It will just never be worth as much as a fire red GS.

Never my first choice, always seemed to find blue cars (have 3). Always liked the darker greens.
The 69 Verde Green is nice though.
