Are there any drag racing games available for any of these game systems?

Dan- what name did you use in MCO?

I played it start to finish, a few other members here played it. it was very fun for what it was. Too bad it was ruined almost from the git-go by selfish players.

MCO2, if it ever comes out, will be a third person view only import and tuner car game.

Ever since my copy of Porsche Unleashed croaked, the only car game or sim I still play is GPL

Chris I went by the name Murphy, mostly on X-roads. I got in to it a little late, about 4 or 5 months after it started. I played it right until they pulled the plug. That was a very sad day:( I played it just for the fun of it, never too serious. It was a blast racing Chargers, Stangs, Cudas, Impalas, Chevelles, or what ever with people you knew. Whether it was box stock or hopped up to the max, it was still fun. Taking a 1200 hp 32 coupe and racing down hazard Hollow, or Dead Mans Run. Aah the good old days:Do No: We even had a drag competition racing D class drag cars. I took 2nd in that. Maybe someday someone will find a game near as good as MCO.

Huh, I'm suprised, but the name doesn't ring a bell...

I went by the name Reno, I played mainly on Xroads

My favorite car in that game was the '70 Mach 1. I had a yellow one with a black stripe and the 351 it came with.

the physics model was totally off, but it was a fun time. I'd like to take that Rustang down the Bel Air Grand Prix one more time. The '70 was my circuit car- my street car was a '69 Road Runner with it's original 383, and that car screamed on tracks like Skoggit county road. I miss that now...

The latest game I'm playing is UT2004, but I'm not playing online (yet). Onslaught is fun!

I've played American MaGees Alice, return to castle Wolfenstein, Undying, Max Payne and Max Payne 2, Unreal, Half-life, Duke 3D and no doubt some I can't remember.

I've also played a ton of demos thanks to PC Gamer.

My desktop still plays games well, but it's just a matter of time before I need to upgrade. :Dou:

MCO never worked for me. $40+$10 online a month for 2 months down the crapper! Their support really sucked too, not one thing besides "did you try reinstalling it?", bleh.

If anyone is interested, head over to www.rpmworld.com and message me, I've got an account that has 490+ races left on it that I never use if you want to check it out.

MCO????whats that, I haven't payed to race in a good 7 years.....last time I payed was when TEN (Total Entertainment Network) was up and running, wish it still was, it was the best server setup, Sierra bought it and killed it.....N2003 is free to race online.

Panzer Dragoon Saga or PDS was one of 5000 If anybody is familiar with the Saturn At the end they released a couple of games with a very low Production number.
PDS, Burning Rangers, and Shining Force 3, I had all three but sold Burning Rangers and Shining Force 3 when I lost my job, I had to pay for the Buick somehow.

PDS is a game that so few people had played that not to many people know about it.

It is considered to be better than Final Fantasy 7.

MCO or Motor City Online was an online based car racing game. It didn't have the usual NASCAR or formula 1 type cars to race. It had vintage, classic and muscle cars. They ranged anywhere from a 1932 Ford Coupe to a 1973 Trans Am. You could build up the cars, or leave them stock. You could put an 1100 hp Chevy BB 427 in a 32 Ford coupe and drag race it if you wanted. Or put a Chevy 454 BB in a Ford Mustang and street race it. It was a really fun game. But EA decided they couldn't make any more money with it, so they turned off the servers. Now it's dead:(

Awesome game, was addicted to it not as much anymore. I liked the rockets more than the cars, sometimes the big harleys too. Oceania's, and flying tanks are fun too.

Anybody else hear of the next GTA in the series?:Do No: Might be in Reno? :Do No:

GTA vice city is nice. That sabre turbo is sweet. Its defiantly a pro charged Buick 455. Though I can not seam to get it working with my sound card right. I get delays in sound which make it hard to play / not as fun.

midnight club was fun too with its 4 speed blown charger. Fun doing a wheelie in a street car in any game.

I built my P4 2.8 ghz, 512MB RAM, Radeon 9600 128MB video card, and accessories for under a grand... Plays anything I've loaded on it.

I loved GTA Vice city, just cant control the silly controllers that well. Porsche Unleashed was my fave driving game. Been playing Sim City 4 Rush Hour, kinda fun driving that limo around throwing money at the citizens of my city..... NOT!

I'd love to find a sub simulator. I played those extensively a long time ago but havent been able to find one recently.

As my username here is taken from the best game ever made (Driver 2), that is my favorite game, BECAUSE there's a "secret" car to unlock in the game.

When you drive to Chicago, go to Wrigley Field, get out of your car and buy a ticket to the baseball game. After you get your ticket, the gates at the back of the stadium will open. Get back in your car and drive around to the back of the stadium, and out into the baseball field. Get out of the car and find the stairs that go up into the bleachers. Run up the stairs, behind the crowd, and down into the underground parking garage.

There, waiting for you is a Yellow '70 GSX! When you take that car, you can outrun EVERYTHING in the game!:TU::bglasses:

Most of the cars in the game are "regular" GS's, and you can take different ones. If you run one off the road, you can "carjack" it, by making the driver get out, and you get in. You can even "steal" the School Bus or the Police Car, too, in the game.

I play mostly Racing games, and Shooter games (I have an UZI pistol with the Folding Stock, and a Desert Eagle .50 Cal. for my PS2), like House of the Dead, Die Hard Trilogy, Resident Evil: Dead Aim.:blast:

I collect Star Wars and James Bond games.:bglasses:

    I also have:
Oddysey (the "ORIGINAL" TV video game!)
    Atari 2600 (about 200 games)
NES (Duck Hunt, with the Pistol)
    N64

Video Games are good "practice" for the REAL deal (Driving and Shooting, my favorite hobbies, but not "together", of course).
    :TU:  :3gears: :blast:
