We've had ps2 (about 20 games) for over a year, then got gamecube (super smash bros melee, metroid, viewtiful joe) last thanksgiving and we just got xbox (halo, nba streets) about a month ago and we had halo for less than a few days before we got to the last level, it reminds me of goldeneye. We just need 2 more controllers and we'll be set.

Got XBOX, PS2, N64, 4 pc's and 4 laptops. We had more pc's but scraped em'. Oh and one server.

My Brother is suppose to get Half Life 2 for free because of the video card he purchased. His computer is custom built by him,(so is the server), i can't tell you the specs. but can get them easily. Personally computers are better, in my opinion. :TU:

We (meaning my 2 brothers and i play to relax) play Unreal Tournament 2004 we play together, with headsets too!

I just got an XBOX a month or so ago. Pretty much all I play are racing games. I tried a football game, but I just don't have the time to learn all the different controls and become good enough to actually compete.

I do have an unused Gamecube game that I accidentally picked up when I bought a bunch of games. I thought it was PS2 like the rest, which I'll be giving to my nephew.

If anyone is interested in trading an XBOX game for "Hot Wheels World Race" for Gamecube, let me know. It's unopened.

    Umm... Minesweep.

I used to play games on my Atari 800XL, Boulderdash II was my favorite; but I'm not much of a gamer.

I did get an old Nintendo when I was hard up for some chess and couldn't find anyone to play with me.

I played a little Theif: Dark Project, and some other game I forget; they came free with some hardware I bought. Didn't keep up with it though.

However, I'm completely addicted to Armagetron - a free internet game based on the light cycles from the movie Tron. I also like BZFlag.

Yea, I want doom3 but you gotta have a new $700 video card to even enjoy it. Along with the latest CPU. oh and like 550+ meg of gold plated ram. You gotta have a 6 month old or less $2800 computer to play the game and enjoy all it has to offer.

Man that $60 game is pricey.

I play lots of shooter games. I like a PC for me controls and add on stuff. Not as sociable unless you have fast internet.

Been playing a quake3 mod called urban terror. free
    http://www.urbanterror.net/
Its sweet. Like a team of terrorist against a team of cops. Real weapons and body damage. The body damage is good. Real like as your blood drains away your sight get limited as you die. good real life maps.

I'm a sniper at heart. Give me a good weapon and a place to hide and I can just pick guys off for hours. I dessert eagle is so bad. If they got even close to real life its will put people down, right now. Even at 50+ yards

Another good game is shattered galaxy free
    http://www.sgalaxy.com/
Its a online game that dial up will work fine. Its a big war game where you build different type of troops and are stuck on a world cut in 3 pieces. You fight with other people to try and take over the world. Like 20,000 people at any time on the first world where your train. So with good troops you can have monster killer battles.

I also like Texas hold-em poker where ever online. free

I like the free stuff the best. People make some really good stuff and give it away.

Doom 3 is kind of disappointing..... The graphics are neat to look at, but "scary" and "tense" are not two words that describe the game play.
90% of the time you can't even see what you have just killed because you need to use your flashlight for most of the game. I hope the multiplayer action is better....... if I can find any of my friends that have enough hardware to run it.

Not a huge gamer but I do really like (and am good at) unreal tournament. I also enjoy warbirds III, great graphics and effects....but like someone above said, these games really push the hardware so might have to upgrade this winter...

actually doom 3 runs great on my 2 year old system...

    amd athlon xp 2400+
    nvidia geforce 4 Ti 4400
    512mb ram
sound blaster live! hooked to klipsch pro media 4.1's

i run at 800x600 resolution on medium detail.. works pretty good i do get some slow down when i open doors (which i've discovered can be hazardous to your health in the game ;)

i think the game is pretty intense .. granted i'm playing it on a higher difficulty level, dim the room to a darkness and turn the speakers up and TRY to get into the game so i can have fun ... i kinda set myself up to be scared but that's all in the fun.

multiplayer outta the box sucks i hear... 4 player max.. i'm awaiting mods to play online..

    next up.. half-life 2... wee..

  12. I've been into gaming for a few years and got more into it when I was in college. I've been a big fan of the Mechwarrior series, well really just when it was being made by Activision. MW3 and 4 blow in my book in comparison to MW2, Mercenaries, and Ghost Bear's Legacy.

My friends have MW servers and Unreal Tournament servers. I've got a few more games but I don't play them nearly as much as the multiplayer action games.

When I was in school I got frightenly good at Golden Eye and Quake 2 on the N64, and got into Quake 3 Arena when I borrowed someone else's computer. I need a new machine, I'm using a 4 year old laptop with 2 Mb of video acceleration. Doesn't work on too many modern games!

as far as systems go.. let's see..

NES with about 30 to 40 games
Original Gameboy with 8 or 9 games
    SNES with about 20 games
    N64 with about 25 games
    GameCube with about 14 games
Gameboy Advance SP with 3 games

Dreamcast with 1 legal game and about 40 illegal games lol

i'm a big fan of nintendo products. i have a wavebird for the GC and if you have a GC get the wavebird it freakin rules... the GBA SP rocks too and with the new DS coming out you might be able to get a GBA SP in the next year for cheap and it has PLENTY of great games (i just don't have tons of $ to blow on games all the time hence only 3 games)

doom 3 rocks though... i'm off to play it again lol... gotta beat it on nightmare before half-life 2 comes out :)

  17. Pretty impressive. One of about 5000 if I recall, right?

I read they came out with the next part of that game on Xbox and it has the original game on it. I have never heard of the game till I read about it on www.actsofgord.com so I really don't know what it's about other than the few who have it REALLY like it.

I have played a few games in the past. Most recently played Motor City Online. I loved that game. The greatest car game EVER, in my mind. I can't seem to get "into" any of the new car games now. Since they unplugged MCO on us, all the other car racing games seem weak at best. Maybe someday there will be a MCO 2 :Do No:
