Body Shop Problems Ok, the car is still outside and the engine is not out. uzzled: I went to the body shop's mechanic and ask him whats up with the GS o No: . Well he told me the starter was the problem uzzled: and he drove the car where it sits now. He informed be that it did not run that well because of the carburetor. I did not hear it run but I will need to talk to Bruce about this and need to hear it run. AL

Body Shop Problems Jason, I know this situation looks bad and for the most part is. But there is a bigger picture here. I will make sure you all understand I did not recommend or have used the body shop that Bruce has his car at, just know of the owner because this guy worked for a body shop I used and now ownes his own. There are many factors that you all are not aware of and just see the narrow picture. I can't speak for Bruce and I'm careful in what I post because this is Bruce's dealings and consider my responsable in what I post. As I posted before, I will support Bruce in getting the car back or how ever he want to handle this, AL.

Moparman has an opinion I used to collect and restore Mopars until they were priced out of my range thanks to people like Leno and Barret-Jackson, so now I have a 70 Stage 1. The deal with the body shop is this, go down there and present him with a subpena for fraud or theft by deception lawsuit. Get this thru a lawyer. Inform him that the law strictly prohibits charging storage for a vehicle unless previously agreed to or if it isn't picked up by a certain time after repairs are completed. Now the biggie, HE CAN ONLY CHARGE FOR WORK AUTHORIZED BY THE OWNER AND MUST HAVE A SIGNED WORK ORDER INCLUDING ESTIMATED COST!!! I own a towing and recovery service and have dealt with impounds and repo's for the past 20 years. The law protects the owner first and debtor second. Also call the Better Business Bureau and place an ad in the paper to inform others of this crook. By the way, not all Mopar people are this way. I have found Buick people to be very similar with the exception that most Mopar guys are poor as hell, we spent all our money on our cars and beer! Good luck! :3gears: :Smarty: :Comp:
Yardley, 3 things happened. The kid was charged :rant: , the Body owner was also chargered :rant: , and I got the Car was completely finished at Another shop with new rear tires.They payed. :Brow: The kid was under 18 so he got 5 years propation , the owner , father was aquided :af: . Truly his Dad did not know. He was called to shop by shops next door neighbor.Now before I took the car in. I took all the extra speed stuff off. In one year after this , He was shut down. Insurance companies found out and starved him out :beer . Letters :Brow:
