Thats about it for now.The interior I believe was "installed" by a tornado, the carpet looks like something BEAT off the back of a monkey, and every single bolt, screw, nut etc is loose or missing in there.

Not complaining because I can handle this type of stuff but getting a decent picture to share in there may take a little while.
If anyone has any red colored interior parts or pedels etc please let me know.
I have all of them but they had started switching the interior over from red to black and it would be easier to find other parts than stripping all the high gloss black dye they loaded on it.

Thanks for the interest in the car it helps keep me pumped up for the project .:TU:

Wow! thanks fot the pics. Looks rust free and straight for a '64. I couldn't help noticing it looks like it was built for speed with no power robbing options. You might check the motor codes. If I was ordering a Wildcat with no options and a 4 speed I'd have had a 425 checked off on the sales form:Brow: Congratulations!!! Dan

    Thanks Dan.

I've never checked codes on anything but 455's and 350's so as soon as I get out my code book

I'll check that, that WOULD be cool!

For some reason I was thinking it had to be a dual quad car to be a 425 but that probably is not so after thinking it over.

Thanks again for the compliments they definitely give me a little boost to tackle these projects:TU:

It had to be a 425 to be a dual quad car, but not vice-versa. Too, a lot of folks took them in to get the dual quads removed, and have a single quad installed. While it's a long shot, it's still a shot. Besides, getting a '64 coded dual quad setup is not as hard as you'd think. Dan

  8. Topcat

    Topcat Got TORQUE?

First time i've seen aluminum covers mounted on the wrong side. That's either a 65-66 california cover on the pass side or someone cut a hole for the breather. Bet it's a 401 car.
I'd also add power steering as they are a real handful in a parking lot without it.......Peace WildBill
P.S.....Ratdog in Ft. Wayne tonight for anyone that wants to join me!

    buickman70 I pirated this pic!!!

John, that is one cool cat. I love the early 60's cars. My first car was a 64 Galaxie 2dr hardtop 289/cruisomatic. It got 22mpg and would lay posi strips. I also had a 62 Galaxie 500XL convertible with a 352 it was a great cruiser. Here's to the early 60's fullsize musclecars:beer

P.S. And they have big back seats
