i use the "pen" tool to make selections and then the "airbrush" tool to shade and color. brought the grill, headlights and wheels from a gn photo and used the "transform" and "perspective" tool to size em and get it to fit right. pete
It's cool, but it looks too much like a GTO. The rectangular headlights make it look like an 80s LeSabre t type...kinda eh... I agree Buick needs something to make them less...uh...grampa-ish, but it needs to be something more than a rebadged other gm car. And, if they want to market right, they should come out with a GN first, then come out with a crazy hopped up GNX they could sell for more. The GN could be similar to the 80s GN's (ie - faster than everything else GM makes) and the GNX could then just be overkill crazy, and they could charge like it. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of non-Buick people who would quickly become Buick people if they did something like that. I base my info on nothing, but it sounds good to me! :beer
I'll offer my opinion now....I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd rather buy a used Yugo.What a feeble attempt to lure Buick back in the limelight by using a GTO that was way overpriced and not attractive.Guess that until American car companies get their head out of the sand,I'll but Japanese....GM hasn't made anything appealing to me since 1973 in my opinion...but Ford sure has and Chrysler is attempting to make a comeback with their Hemi's. I like it. I like a Buick with performance again. It is about time! May not have all the design features all of us want, but at least it's a start in the right direction. Now, is it a hoax? I saw this asked earlier, but no answers yet.
I agree too. This is the new age you got to remember... and you either like it or you don't. And.. if they don't start now they never will. I mean, who doesn't want the musclecar war to come back in the new age? :Smarty: I think if you won't even support GM's IDEAS, then... why even support the part of GM that you do like. You like that company because you like their ideas,cars better than the other companies. At least Ford made cars like the Cobra R a reality....GM is living in a non reality world...Look at some of the new cars and GOD forbid the stupid commercials they produce...Here is the GNX killer here.....

That was the Prototype Chevelle 454SS, and it wasn't completed yet, for the Hot Rod Power Tour last year, so yes, it was missing the Headlight Bezels. If you aren't familiar with this car, it actually is interesting (all Chevy criticism aside)! It's a 2005 Pontiac GTO ($35,000 Base Price), that this company rebodied (Rear 1/4s are 1970 Chevelle 1/4 panels reproduced in Carbon Fiber! The Rear Bumper is an actual Steel 1970 Chevelle Rear Bumper, that was sectioned in the middle, and shortened to fit the GTO body! The Cowl Hood is also a Carbon Fiber reproduction of an original design! The engine is a modern, computer controlled, Fuel Injected, 600+HP 454, with a 6 Speed Manual transmission! It is a Front Wheel Drive car that has been converted to Rear Wheel Drive! :3gears: :3gears: :bglasses: Now, if some company with "unlimited funds" can do this to a car, using Chevy parts, then WHY can't someone do this with BUICK parts?! I don't like the GNX wannabe , but I think this new GTO would be awesome as a GSX, with the Rear Wing Spoiler (and a Bulldog 455, and a 6 Speed Manual, to send that Chevelle back to the Design room!)! The 2005 Corvette C6 is the Cobra R killer. Stats: 0-60 in 4.2 secs 6.0 litre 10.9:1 Compression Ratio Redline from 6000-6500 RPM's Top speed would literally kill the Cobras @ 186mph And dig this, it still has the LS1 Small block V8! And this is bone stock as well. The corvette is my fav. GM car of now days. Come on buick engineers, wake up, look at all the young people in the world for a demand of performance, and bring back the true words of buick:"Going fast with class". :bglasses:
i think a lot of people are missing the point. the first pic was photoshoped, and so were the multiple ones i did. it probably never came from buick and never will. will buick even be around in 07? prolly not. just take it for what its worth and have fun with it. is it not ok to daydream anymore? :spank: pete
