    Is 5000lbs overweight??

Most of those comments on the other thread for race classes are just SUGGESTIONS! The final talley and decisions will not be made until next year.

  7. Matt, I think that offering a ladies only class is a VERY common practice. That doesn't exclude them from participating in any of the other classes, just offers them the chance to compete against just other women. A beginner's class? Count me in, if my car can make the trip next year!

Did you post your suggestions there?

Norwalk has a "moms class" every once in a while at larger events. One of my best friends sister has been racing for about 6-8 years now and wins every time. It';s not uncommon for her to runs moms class with one car, stock class with the same car, and bike class with her motorcycle all at the same event! :gt:

Any word on what will happen if Quaker City is sold the end of this month and no longer operated as a viable track? Where will the Nat's be held then? word has it that it may go to BFI for a landfill. What a shame if it does. The track has been there since 1957.

Bring it to St. Louis so I can stay for the BCA regional too...since they are at nearly the same time.

    Where's the HILL?

I didn't see the burnout box on the HILL! Leave your line locks at hope. You won't need them at Quaker. A great bonus is they have electrical plug-ins. Hope all has fun.

OMGoodness did I see that? Did Gary Fanning say that he's coming out? Or was that sarcasim that I sense? Oooooo time to tune up my Buick and get her running good.......After all these years of ragging on each other, I couldn't let Gary win! Sounds like a date to me! This is going to be the event not to miss. Ohio is the place to live! Norwalk in May and now the BPG Nats in August. Life is good.

The picture attached is with me sitting in the stands looking at the starting line. If you can't see the hill...........:Do No: Oh Denny is going to kill me too since he just happened to be working the starting line when I took this picture......:)

    Renee,
Thanks for posting the pic of the hill. I'm quite used to having my sanity called into question but on this I was sure I was right.
The '80s weren't that long ago were they?

Mike-- not a problem. Since Quaker is my home track I was pretty sure that the burn out box was on a hill. I've burnt my share of rubber going uphill :) Seems like the distance between the burn out box and the starting line is shorter than all the other tracks I've raced at, but it could just be the hill throwing my senses off. I'm not sure if the whole track goes uphill or not, but my times are usually 1-2 tenths slower at Quaker than anywhere else around here. Ex: 11.90's at Norwalk, 12.0's-12.teens at Quaker..... Oh well.....still will be a blast, just don't expect your best times. I hope to meet alot of the people that I haven't met yet there in August!

Sarcasm? Me? Ah, yup. As hard as I wish it just isn't practical to go that far. Maybe after my daughter moves over that way and I NEED to visit her. Sorry Renee.

Doesn't it turn up hill again before the finish line (resulting in the slower times)?
