Coming very soon... later this evening. We are just fine tuning the post now. It is lengthy, as we go into a lot of the specfics of how we decided on the when and where of the event. Strap in.. :eek2: :beer :TU: JW
That's GREAT news! I always take a week off in the middle of August, so it's time to start planning! :TU:
Real close halleluah !!!! Haven't been to Quaker city since the sixties, looking forward with great anticipation for this event.    Moz
Gary, It was nice meeting you in Norwalk, now I get to see ya twice next year  I'm going to Quaker tonight to snap some pictures of what you are all in for. The changes in the track since I started going, 5-6 years ago, are unbelievable. I can imagine what the changes are like for people who haven't been there since the 60's!
Re: Real close halleluah !!!! Moz, are you ever going to race the X? You have a good set of heads on her, let it rip! Randy. ( if you want, i take her down for you:Brow: ) Randy
Just some teaser shots of the track....and one track offical in particular  (he's gonna be p.o'd) ou: First picture is the spectator side parking.....
I didn't make it over to the pit side of the track....pssssssst don't take 3 little girls with you when you go to the track (they got cold) Here's the starting line -- notice that you can't see the burnout box......it's definately on an incline
oooooooo here's the picture that my husband is going to kill me over but I had to do it........Everyones favorite starter  Doesn't he look soooooooooooooo important !
The tower moved! Hey Renee, I haven't raced there since the mid-eighties...It looks like the tower has moved! Good choice in facilities too Jim. The supercar showdown Chuck Green held there in 1986 was one of the best meets I have ever been to. Thanks for sharing.
BPG Event Sounds great. My wife's family is in Erie, PA, which looks to be somewhat convenient (Shoot up 11 to I-90 and over to Erie). Can't be more than a couple of hours drive from the looks of it. Hopefully, the wife's school schedule won't interfere, but I think they start back the 19th. I'll check and see. Looking forward to being there in '04. Alan
i usually go to keystone in new alexandria, pa. maybe cause i like the old tracks that look kinda rundown [but since the new ownership things have been getting alot better] not sure why i've never been to quaker city. its only an hour away for me. i should go out this weekend to check it out and maybe i'll run one of my pigs.
I told my wife about the BPG event for next august. Sounds like a plan for us, since I have family in the toledo area. Plan to see everyone there.
I will most certainly be there! I just need to figure out how to get as many of my 67's there as possible. I want to make sure there's more than one 67 at this event...even if they're both mine! :gt: p
The question I have is whether Mike T. of TA Performance will be on hand with his wheel standing wagon. Just seeing it run is worth the price of admission. Alan
