I saw the BB steering shaft its on this thread post 52 with the non power steering box. Could you not have disc delete. I remember my uncle buying a new Mach 1 and it came with disc. He wanted it drum because the disc caused a drag on the front wheel so were slower in the quarter. I have heard that many times sinc but never believed it and having driven both I would always pick disc.

Not to steal a thread on the car for sale but, as for the gold 71 GSX that kenbuick has now, I remember in the mid to late 90's an old friend Mike Larson had bought that car and had it shipped up from Florida to Milwaukee. Back then the car had original paint on it and it was all faded. He could have taken it to car shows as a survivor. I think he was the third owner of the car. So he removed the motor and had a shop in Milwaukee called Pro Comp Paint restore the whole exterior of the car. He put a mildly built motor in it and put the original engine parts off to the side because of what the car was.
The car did see the Buick Nationals once and then he got very sick and the car went up for sale and now Ken is the new owner. As for his 1971 Buick GSX, I'm 100% positive that it is a real GSX.

As I have seen this car several times . Ken bought the car with a aluminum headed stage 2 engine in it. He also acquired the original engine which he built intothe monster it is now in stock appearing form. Sorry Ken if you wanted to respond yourself but I just couldn't help myself. I still remember the sound of that Stage 2 engine :):):)

As I love Buicks,Mopars are also in my blood, and can say that is the beauty of Mopars, bam, right there on the fender tag is what it is,no ?'s asked(provided there is still a fender tag on it).Colors,engine,options,etc.

Well yes and no. Mopars have a tag held on with screws:idea2: wonder how hard it is to change that. I know a Mopar guy that has like 40 tags hanging in his garage, just wall art he says.

If I was able to buy this myself I would already have made a appointment to go look with a trailer in tow.:3gears:

Contact John, the original person that posted and he will put you in contact with the owner. John's ph# in on his site.
John is a great guy and the owner is also a nice person. I have talked with him about the car but I am heading towards another convertible.
