John, you know the car right? Whats your opinion? Original paint and stripes? whats the trim tag info? has anyone looked for the build sheet and taken apart the interior seats ect? I would love to have an original BB 4spd car the GX thing is just icing!

I will get the trim tag info. I know lots more about 70 cars but my understanding is that the 71 GSX cars had very low body numbers. It is a big block car with 4 speed, non Stage 1. But then, with the original engine gone... still though, it seems like a great buy!

If its a non stage 1, you should correct your ad John, it still reads that it is a stage 1.

Hmmm, must be a typo. My stepson does 99% of the moderating on my website. Will look into it! Also, I E mailed Debbie and Bill, the owners, and they are trying to get to the garage where the car is stored. Lots of snow, but I should have cowl tag info in the next day or so.

John , here is a picture of the cowl tag i took last summer when i looked this car. I wouldn't want bill or Deb to have to dig out the 4 feet of snow just to get a picture. I have other pictures if you are interested.

While describing this car to my wife, after hearing what color it was, what tranny it had, condition, etc, etc, etc, she simply said "I didn't hear the word CONVERTIBLE yet......" End of the conversation. What can I say. Shes picky.

Thats cool.:TU: Every time I describe a 71 car the first thing Prona says is "does it have a buildsheet"? She's a quick learner.

My wife is even quicker, she says : How come Mike Sobotka hasn't bought it, must be something wrong with it. B

Is that the same car? The body number on the tag in the photo does not match what John has on his site and the build date looks different too.

Brad, this is the same car. I looked at it a couple of times last summer when Bill first offered it for sale and took this picture.

Brad are you mixing the 2 cortez gold cars up? My friend Ken Shup has a cortez gold car on there with all his information. listed at 59k the very next car is the 24k car which John did't post any numbers for. I imagine thats the confusion. If I am wrong well just mark it up on a long list :)

If its a 71/72, my wife says "you know I don't like those, why don't you send it to your friend in Canada or Idaho?"
