:TU: Im hoping to see as many 63,64 Cats, Lesabre`s and Electras at the Puyallup Show June 19th 2010. And park together and compare notes and help each other keep our momemtum going. Since we love and enjoy the Lead sleds from back then.
I know I will see Sarge and Alex(with all his 225`s:Brow: and 61 Lesabre to), hopefully Neil will be back in time, and hopefully Steve a 63 Lesabre 2dr ht owner from Silverdale and the rest of you guys close enough to drive over here. If she has a Nailhead in her your welcome and Rick in Lilliwaup we would love to see your car if you get her on the road.

We cant let all the Larks,Gs`s and Rivs show us up:Brow:

We are the 3rd B:eek2: :eek2: B`s on the board, so lets stick together:Brow:

    Rick,
My compliments on your wagon :bglasses: . Sounds good, I thought of getting rid of the quiet transverse muffler on my Cat. The only reason I havent is because it came that way , but I still like the sounds of a healthy V8.
I like the color combo, it looks good on your car.

"Raises hand". My dad bought my mom a new 64 LeSabre, which was
her daily-driver until she passed away 4 years ago. Description in my sig.
Recently, the engine was the victim of a blown head gasket, but that's in
the past now - runs and looks great!

It's basically a daily driver, mostly because I just plain enjoy driving it.
It's always getting attention - at red lights, people are always asking me
questions ... folks driving the other way honk ... and more often than not,
I am asked if I would pull over so they can give it the once-over.

    1964 Buick LeSabre Convertible

Hi - 64 LeSabre convertible. 57,075 miles. 300 cu in with a 4 bbl; ST 400. I just bought it in January. I'm measuring success one light bulb at a time. The reverse lights go on now. Open the trunk, the light comes on, close the trunk the light goes off. May sound simple but that stuff hasn't worked in some 25 years does now. I bought if from a guy who stored it in a heated garage and took it out once a year on Memorial Day (for the parade). At some point in it's life it was painted (poorly) and the front seats were changed. I'm looking for a front seat set-up. Vinyl, with the white (silver(?)) stripe. Anyone know where I can get a complete front seat set-up? I like the car and I get more comments/stares than my Mustang ever did... I now have the Buick hubcaps on. Can anyone tell me the details of Buick Rally Wheels on an aluminum drum brake full size car?

    Hey Matt, nice car!
Buick Ralleys on a 64 buick. I have tried and so far, I have yet to find the exact combination.

I did a disc brake conversion on the front, and I believe only 72 and up will now fit on the front.

It is the rear that I can't figure out. The rear drums have a center hub, that centers the wheels and pretty much locks them in place with the help of the lugnuts.
The 72 and newer style will not work, because they do not have the center. From what I have heard only 68 on down to the 64 style will work for the rear.
Maybe someone else has better info, but that is what I seem to remember trying it on mine.

In all the asking/research that I've done - I'm told the 64 was an odd bird. The Rally Wheels are supposed to be light gray not black and the back spacing was different as well. Someone told me 'in 40 years in the Buick business, I've only seen one set of those wheels'. Not too encouraging. I'm thinking I can get something to work, the original hubcaps look good, but the Rally Wheels look GREAT... Wheels make a difference in a car...

    Matt,
It is an odd bird but thats why I like it. Not to many around and a Classy ride. :bglasses: I put a set of 66-70 black Rallys on my Convert but I had to put a apox. 3/16th spacer and file it to fit the larger hub. I havent had any trouble, I just check the lugs to make sure they stay tight. I found some 64 only wheels w/caps but waiting til I can afford to rechrome them. Gary

Matt, nice car and color combo, I just picked up a 62 LeSabre with the same color combo. Sarge the Queen Mary III should be ready for launching soon, 1 more buffing session and she be done. :TU: [IMG]

The QM III is going to be looking pretty sassy Louie. :TU: Hopefully I'll be able to pull the Barge out and get some detailing done prior to the All Buick Open.

My car had black rallys when I bought it used in the 80's. They are now in the attic and I am waiting for a moment to go compare them against the Buick rally wheel history chart, to determine what years they came from. They worked ok, but I recall there was some minor sizing issue which I now forget. Here is what I have now (got them long ago from a guy who got them off a junkyard car in a nearby town); they were affordable. Picked up the centers several years later.

I bought a set at NAPA last year for the 64 Cat, new bearing seals and all. and had them press it on.

Hi - My 64 LeSabre was originally Artic White with black interior. I'd like to take credit for the blue, but it wasn't me. To be honest - next winter I'm having it painted white. I like the blue but REALLY like the white... I'm looking for that 2 tone interior. Someone in the past changed out the front seats and well... it just doesn't match... They also dyed the rear seat and door panels...
I have a PS pump coming and once that's in I'll be able to drive it around after the winter engine work... It's all I have left to do except the cosmetic stuff - which ia always fun (speaking for myself)...
I am thinking about dual exhaust - keeping the stock exhaust manifolds...
