Like every one else, I have used large carbs on Buicks with great success. I really like the Dominator if you are just racing and not driving on the street. I ran one on a 9 to 1 engine and it was great. I did back to back test with Q-jets and 800, 850 and 950 Holleys and it was always the fastest. I let the et slip tell me what works not some Chevy salesman. You guys wanting a good carb and a great deal, call Quick Fuel Technology in Bowling Green and get a carb made to order for you at a Summit price.

Oh man, I've had that same arguement more times than I can remember with Chevy guys. They just can't seem to accept the fact that my relatively mild BBB can just about take any size carb that I throw on it and it just keeps running better and better and there motors don't. I sometimes think they feel insecure about the size thing--->
But yeah a BBB is virtually impossible to overcarburate:beer

Whats the difference if you get a Holley HP 1000 or a AED 1000?

This is what they do to their carbs. Rob chilenski recommended them to me. He has used them several times in the past. He said their carbs run like "fuel injection":Do No:

Do these carbs atleast have the port at the rear for our pcv hook up unlike the Holley 1000 hp?

    Thanks

I plan on getting one. They don't have the PCV port, but I plan to do what Dave did. I have to use an adaptor plate for my Performer manifold. I'll just drill and tap a port in the adaptor plate.

Ohhh man that sucks,i guess that scraps my idea of getting that carb,i dont have enough hood clearance to run that plate that Dave and you are gonna run for the PCV.

    Thanks

Your SP-1 should have a port in the back of the manifold, under the carb. All you need is a piece of molded 3/8 fuel line.

The 950 has the port. It takes fuel like fuel injection. I drove the car today a few miles and am very happy with it! The dealer that sold me the carb couldn't wait for me to come back to his store so he could ask how it did. I guess he wanted to say I told you so, but he didn't get the chance yesterday. I told him it could take even more carb probably. He just shook his head and then talked about an 850 being too much for his friends 454. LOL

    Hell of a carb.

By the way. I have talked to 4 racers in my area that use these carbs. They all only had praise for them and these guys had used all the big names.
