I ran right alongside one with my warm 430 getting on a highway. It was dead even. I could have reached in his car and changed his radio station.

It’s been 2 roll on races I wasn’t expecting. Tougher and tougher to compete with technology.

Racing from a roll, for me, is not where its at. From the dig or I'm not in.

Agreed. My last street bike was a beast from the dig. Gen 2 Vmax. TQ monster. I used to love catching lights with ZX14s.

I've done 183mph on 2 wheels. It's a trip for sure. I was invincible then. Now I have no desire to do it again.

I had a Turbo Busa for a season. It had issues, but scared me. Best et was a 9.68@150 mph. I launched it like a pussy, afraid to flip it!

I either don't have the balls for that, or have too much brains for that. I want some steel around me at those speeds

He would attach his Go Pro looking back when he launched, it was unreal!
Made me look like I was pushing my GS off the line!
Great guy tho, Scott Nowak, very helpful when I first started going to the track:):):)

Well, the green one is on the lift in time-out because it's broken again, to be either fixed next year cause I'm burnt out or maybe fixed this year and sold, so....

But yeah, those were good times. I won't do it again.

I had a Hayabusa for many years. That was a great bike. It did everything well (twisty roads, sport touring, commuting, etc.). Top speed runs were what it did best. That thing would bury the speedometer (way past 185 mph) without even trying. It was stock with an air filter, aftermarket exhaust, and a Power Commander fuel controller. I just sold it back in December. Kinda lost interest in riding and it just sat in the garage.

Ive been building my son a 67 skylark convertible but in the mean time I bought a 2020 GT and had a roush supercharger installed. 750hp and OMG does that car run!
First pass with street tires no slicks was 11.71 (I forgot to boost the octane LOL) 2nd 11.61, 3rd 11.39, and 4th 11.16 @128mph these cars haul the mail!

I would think with 750hp it would be very deep in the 10s

My 2012 gsxr 1k, did 17X one night I decided to open her up. Rode it less and less and eventually sold it too. But thanks to it I ended up with my Buick.

Curious question, after your crazy fast runs, did you let the bike coast down? Down shift? Lightly apply the brakes?
How long did it take to get back down to "sane" speeds?

Yep, got it out for the first time last Friday, drove it to work, all was good. Drove it to cars and coffee Saturday morning and a mile before arriving lost my clutch. It was fun trying to drive into a crowded area with no clutch! Turns out, of all stupid things, a factory weld on the clutch pedal broke. It's always something dumb with that car, just always something little and goofy that manages to F-up my day. Anyway, I'm over that car already for this year after one (ok, I guess 2) times out. As a matter of fact, now that I've slept on it a few nights, I'm fairly certain im over that car altogether.
