We were hoping you would be coming come down and take some back home. Instead it appears next week you are sending some more.
A scary drought in California. CBS said that one major reservoir in CA is at 17% capacity. Most are at less then half. A lot less. No rain is forecast, and this is the rainy season in the golden state. Since the wildly overpopulated southern CA area has no naturally occurring ground water to speak of, It is well past time for the authorities out there to start building a series of desalinization plants. No matter how long the California drought, the Pacific Ocean ain't gonna run dry anytime soon. California could even use some of it's plentiful sunshine to power them. If these desalting plants aren't built, the remaining option seems to be to partially depopulate the area. This will not require any participation by the state. When the water runs out, people will leave on their own. JMO.
Not as cold as some parts but I thought it was interesting when I was going to work yesterday morning and the temperature on the Riv's dash read 1. Plenty of sun though. That's the coldest I've ever been in the car driving. I'm sure it was a few degrees colder overnight. I'm just wondering if the gauge goes to 0 or even negative numbers on the readout.
Lmfao:tu: If I can find a way to stop the cold air can we send Celine Dion down there as well??? ---------- Post added at 07:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:38 PM ---------- Ttt
I drive an 07 GMC Sierra, and saw 3 this morning on the damn rear view mirror thermometer. If I see a negative number soon, I'm taking my 64 Special OUT of the garage and it will be my daily driver so I can spurr on some global warming again, since it's dual exhaust and no smog equipment.
Jim, it's just that Canadian's have such a love for sharing, we could not allow our southern brothers and sisters to not have the opportunity to savor our wonderful weather. Hope you enjoy it. I'm sure that a refrigerated container full of snow would be a hit with the local children!! :TU:
Tom-we are certainly appreciative of the Canadian thoughtful and sharing nature. In that vein if you could delay shipment of your cold air until July-August, we would be eternally in your debt.
I will submit the necessary requisitions, but cannot be held responsible should the July and August cold air be detrimental to the local flora and fauna.
OK I can see this:bglasses: A 53 ft refrigerated full of our great white stuff mid july and Jims shop:bla:
Getting ready for a storm The forecast says 6 to 10in over the next 12 hours so I went out and got bread milk beer and rye:Brow:

Pot Belly Stove heat? Don't do it. When you show Alan that kind of hospitality, the next thing you know, he will be trying to move in to it on a permanent basis.
