If you mean some of the blocks have stock cam bearings and why, well here is the answer. Some guys are not building for all out performance and don't need 1" lift, so they can retain their stock diameter cams and cranks and save some dollars.
Makes sense to me. I was going with the factory cam size until Mike called me with the offer and explained the benefits.
Michael I hadn't planned on running a cam bigger than .650" but went with the ford cam journal just in case:TU: Cheers
Have been waiting since July and thanks to Jim Weise it may happen soon if there are no more supprises on my end.
Getting that Kolhar engine together for a neighbor. Had to order some parts for that too. Been told that it is going to be done Monday (11-18-13). I'm trying to get some other projects done so I can get on the Buick engine when it does get here.
I am just looking forward to driving at ease and not having "that butt pucker" everytime the engine goes over 6000 RPMs.
Christmas came a little earily this year as I went and picked up the Tomahawk block at the freight depot. I can sleep better knowing it is here. Big thanks to TA Performance for puting up with me and answering my questions. Will start a thread in the tomahawk section with pictures
