It is the best forum for an event like this that I have seen. The NHRA nostalgia drags reunion has moved back to BG this year. Camping, covered stands, trees, horse pastures, who could ask for more.
lots of rain tonight. hopefully it will be clear for friday. racing starts @ 11:00 am and i cant wait. had to find a back road today!
drags got canceled today but they are goin to run late into the night friday night so it will all day thing tomorrow car show and drags all day should be fun
I talked to someone a few minutes ago who said there are so few V8 cars there that the 70-72 class had about 7 cars and the convert class had only 3 or 4 cars. There are not a lot of used parts vendors there but the ones that are say no one is buying anything. If this trend continues national events will quickly disappear.
Maybe some V8Buick guys wanna stop by the Metco display on the midway for some deep deals on control arms, driveshaft safety loops, and valve cover breathers. No freight! Cash-n-carry! Show-only specials... Mention V8 Buick (and show ID p )and get a free cold beer with purchase... While supplies last... :beers2:
MY PICNIC WAS BETTER ATTENDED WITH A NICER SELECTION OF CARS!!!!!!! 4 - 1970 GS 1 - 1971 GSX 1 - 1970 GSX 2 - 1969 GS Convertibles 2 - 1987 GN 1 - 1966 Wildcat 4 - Rivieras 64, 64, 65, 69 6 - 64 - 67 Skylark/GS 1 - 1971 Electra 225 1 - 1989 Turbo Trans Am 1 - Fuel Injected Nailhead in a 1940 Chevy 2 - late model Mustangs (one a 2003 Cobra) So that settles it then... next May screw the GS Nationals and everybody just come to my house!!!!!
