News from WIR
I saw this on the teamwir (Wichita International Raceway) web site. Congratulations you guys made an impression!
"The Buick guys who came down friday - holy cow what a crew - the nicest bunch you've ever seen - came for the fun and got it! They have a belt they pass around - like a WWF belt - the last one of their guys standing at the race got the belt - it was kinda cool to, what with the big Buick Emblem and the leather and the diamond tread plate and all - I know you had to see it to understand its hard to explain!" :beer
And in other news
Trevor Ruge took out redlighting Kyle lane in the finals leaving Brendon Mock to finish in the semis.
Hi guys and gals!
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a great time at WIR last week.
Thanks to Dave B. and to the promoter Robyn Lance for doing this thing.
Thanks to Dave F. also, for the grill work, and to the others who cooked, there was always something on the grill to eat.
It was fun neeting all the Buick people, I didn't know were in this area.
Congratulations on taking the BELT home,Dave, after I get this house thing done the end of this year, I will be back for it at next years get together.HA
It was starting to get down to the nitty gritty, my last race was against a camero, he had a 10.62 dialed in I had a 10.60, that was going to be a fun race, basicaly a heads up race. When the lights came down and I went to leave my rearend broke, bummer. Thanks to everybody who helped me get off the track and on the trailer. A speicial thanks to Rob, if he would not have had his "wench" there I would have never gotten it on the trailer.LOL>LOL
John C., Ed, Brad, Clint, P.D. and the others, see you next time.
Oh Yea, John - YOU ARE GOING DOWN!
OH BOY, Starting already!! The least you could do is wait for his head swelling to come down first.
Thanks for the pics! :3gears:
Hey guys and gals,
My "pit bitch" was able to get video of the event. While it's not as clear as Garrison's ride, it's still something to view. If anyone want a copy, let me know. Not sure on a price, I guess it depends on how many blank video I need to buy. Oh yeah, this is high 8 to VHS.
Feel free to ask if your car is on the tape, but I'm relatively sure everyone's car is on it.
Let me know.
a lot of pics coming soon
There should be a ton of pics coming soon on the photo album on the wir web site.............I'll let you know when they get posted........ :TU: :beer :3gears:

WOW :eek2: :eek2:
Those are BRUTAL (as Borland would say), even if the only shots of mine are when it appears that I'm staging. So there's not any way of telling if I'm getting any kind of lift or twist.
Double wheels up Garrison! Twisted Rob Holmes!!! Hell, Even Conillogue can get one up :TU: (Love ya Roomie!)
Great event and great to see everyone. And to meet everyone. Video is available on VHS for anyone.
BTW, the black 70 Stage 1 looks great in my office. Thanks Mike. :beer
Those are some great shots!!
I had to change my Avatar. :TU:
P.D. your car looked to me like it was lifting pretty dang hard.
Pretty good for a car that only gets to go outside once a year.
