    Gas is cheaper today than you think. Gas that cost you $.33/gallon in 1972 would cost you $2.05/gallon today.

    This was our local CitGo station hangout for Motörheads. Rick Hendrick worked there at night after his shift across the street at the Westinghouse meter plant. Back then he was a tool and die man.

    The white 406 Ford raced top end late nights for Franklin Brothers. Takers came from other towns to run it. (There is a another significant car in the background.)

    This car won at the local track first time out. It was protested but nerves got the best of the protester because you had to put up money. If the stage 1 passed after tear down, you lost your Franklin Brothers.
