If Buicks suddenly vanished from the face of the earth . What car would be your next car of choice. Taking into consideration you would be replacing your Buick with a vehicle that would still fit into your interests, Muscle car, Classic, drag racer, street strip ,etc, etc. I like them all , but I always had a weak spot for Tin Indians (Pontiacs).
Same for me. Pontiac & Buick just had different flavors of the same really good ice cream. Beer, too for that matter. Devon
Olds is third on my list. My very first flight from the blue & red flashing lights was successful thanks to a W-31 spec'd 350 engine in a run of the mill '70 Cutlass. :beer Devon
You would think Olds would be next choice over a Buick for most . The body lines , quality , size are similar. I'm more partial to the Ponchos though. The Ram Air and Super Duty packages do it for me, especially the early cars. :TU:
I've been a Chevy guy for too long,it'll be stupid for me to give them up now.My latest purchase is an inline four cylinder chevy('70 model).I'd like to find a '29 Ford to drop it in and have some fun.
I'll take an old truck, '50's or older. Chevy, dodge, ford, diamond-t, gmc, mack, federal. Not many non-buick cars that I have an attraction towards.
I am a Poncho gut (see my username and it sure isn't referring to a Fairlane or some import), but I have wanted an Olds SX455 Convertible for a long time...
Definetly Oldsmobile would be the car of choice for me. It's my second favorite, right behind Buick.(Buick is my Number 1 favorite car, of course) Chevy comes in at a close 3rd! I like most any car w/ a gasoline combustion engine, w/ a few exceptions. :TU:
Hate to admit this, but I'd jump right into a Mustang. Either a 71 Mach 1, or the new 07 Cobra. A very close second would be the Good Doctor, preferably a 70-72 Cutlass or 4-4-2 vert. Then again, I double dog dare anybody to try to take my GS away from me. :af:
you should have put other id realy consider a old hudson hornett or kaiser just to be cool id go with olds otherwise
I'd really love a 70 SCJ 428 4-speed Torino GT. Short of that one Ford I'd be in a 66-69 GTO. I broke a class record in high school at Detroit Dragway with a 69 Custom S and have always had a soft spot for that body style. Wouldn't a world without Buicks be considered the Bizzaro world??
I voted Pontiac, although it would be a tough call. I like many different models make by different makes. But the Pontiacs would probably win out. But then again, it would also be what I could get my hands on at the time :Brow: Dan :3gears:
I've always liked Amercan Motors AMX. Would have to be a 401 cu. in. with crossram dual quads and of coarse a 4 speed.
Either a '62 or '63 Max Wedge Dodge, with either the BW T-85 3spd, or a T-10 4spd. If I couldn't get one of them, I'd still be going Mopar... probably a '69 6BBL or Six Pack B-body with a 4spd.
Would have to be Pontiac as my next choice, followed by Oldsmobile. After that, Mopar or Ford. Have never worn a bow tie in my life and plan to go to my grave never doing it. :moonu: Scott
