Hey Doug, I have 2 questions. How much longer of a ride would Atco be than E-town for me? And the second, I heard someone say there is a cruise night on sat night at Cecil, is that true? Oh and good luck tomorrow, Will
Will, Atco is about another hour south...BUT..I never fail to run faster there then anywhere except Cecil County. Example is that the first time the car went into the 9.0s, it ran a 9.06 at Cecil and two months later it went 9.09 at Atco. It was about 15 degrees cooler at Atco though. I believe the cruise is still on. The last few years I've missed it, mostly because I haven't had my street car with me. Later, Doug.
HEY WILL JUST NOTICED YOUR AVATAR ARE THOSE SS STRIPES ? IF YOU LOSE THEM YOU COULD GAIN A TENTH AT LEAST.
Hey Joe, congrats on being the first one on the board to break my chops about the stripes. I knew it was coming. The first Buick event i went to was the Englishtown meet in Aug., and i was dreding the ball bustin i was going to get. It turns out no one said anything unitl I described my car to somone as "the red one w/ the chevy stripes". Well that all it took, cause the next words out the guys mouth was "yeah we all noticed but we were not going to say anything, but since you metnioned..". I'd like to go on record now by saying that i did not put those on the car. When i bought the car 6 years ago they were on it. I will take them off eventually Later, Will
with that being said about the stripes when is the next time you plan on getting your car the track. or are you done for the year, as it must be getting cold up there.
Actually Joe I will be attending the Buick meet in Cecil County, Maryland. The event is next friday and saturday. I will be leaving on thursday and maybe stay till sunday, if not saturday. But that will probably be the last time this year. Will
What cam and converter are you using? I am trying to figure out the cheapest way to run about where you are at with my '69. Of course I would like 11's, but that is too many $$ away right now.
I am running the TA Perf. 308s (solid lifter) cam. My convertor right now is a Poston switch pitch w/ a 1800ow stall and a 4000 high stall. But the convertor is taking away from my times so i will be swapping it out for a non S.P over the winter. Later, Will
