I went down to english town last night, it was packed. Im happy to say that i was able to make a personal best of 12.49 @ 107 mph...Unfortunatley the condition of the track last night was'nt so great. At the Buick Perf. weekend my car was hooking very well, as for last night it was way off. I made 2 passes and the car wasnt launching to well, and on the 3rd run the car came out from under me and headed toward the wall and i had to back off. I was a little ticked off cause i waited for over an hour for my 3rd run, and the guy before lost control and almost hit the wall in the same spot as i did. Then the guy behind me had the same problem so thats when they decided to go check the track and realized there was oil on it. Oh well, i will be at cecil gunning for even lower 12's and maybe even an 11.99?

i have some pics from my digital camera but the qulity isnt so great..thats due to my photograpgher/ father,,,he was to busy trying to watch the car than to take pics..I do however have 2 awesome photos from the buick weekend taken by e-towns photo shop that i will scan in the near future, the pics actually have my front tire off the ground..so i promise to post it real soon.

Thanks alan, as for my car i have had it now for just over 6 years, i used to drive it all the time as my daily driver even in the winter, boy was that lots of fun...Actually Bruno is a close friend to a guy my father used to work w/ so whe i bought the buick the guy gave my father Brunos number and thats where we bought our 455 which needed a rebuild and th400 also in need of work. Since then i talk to him on a regular basis and he had been a huge help to me. He is also the one who got me to join the northeast chapter of GSCA

Hey. I must have missed your car last night. I was running my baby last night as well (71 Skylark convertible 350). Turned a 13.85 @ 99. I didnt notice any other old Buicks in the lanes.

It was a mess last night. An hour between runs, then some civic dropped something in the right lane so they shut that down. I'm thinking of driving down to Atco just so I can actually get a few runs in without having to wait forever.

Yea i didnt notice your car either..I was running in lanes 12 and 13. I made 2 runs and then waited for over an hour only to have some dude oiul the track 3 cars ahead of me and they didnt clean the track, Thats why the guy in front of me, myslef and the guy behind me all went sideways and almost hit the wall in the left lane, before they decided to go out and clean the track. I think it was because there were so many carsd last night that they were not taking such great care of the track as to keep things moving.

Well i would love to get the car into the mid to low 11's. But i know for sure that i have some work to do before that happens. The car is not a daily driver, more like a nice cruise on the weekends and will see the track about 8 times a year or so

Definately a slip-and-slide track, when they don't take care of it!! Mike Pollack wrecked his 10 sec blue 69 into the wall a few years back and went sideways thru the traps in this years Perf Weekend final.

Hey, I almost took out the photographer....maybe next time :Brow: ....he didn't have any pics of my car anyway.

Man, some things just don't change! i put my GS together when I was in Beachwood, NJ, 81-83. We used to race Englishtown on Sundays. Same thing, long waits for the "Trophy Modified" cars. We'd park in the lanes and then go watch the "sites".

Hey Will, Glad you're coming to Cecil County. You'll run your a$$ off down there! I told your dad congrats on the win, but I'm not sure I saw you afterwards. If not, CONGRATS!!
James, if you're thinking about running at Atco, think about going this Sunday. It's nostalgia day and I'm going, weather permitting. I've got some testing to do. Later, Doug.

Hey Doug, thanks. My dad mentioned that you said congrats. Im really looking forward to Cecil. I have heard nothing but good things about the track. I am also looking forward to seeing what i can get out of my car, seeing as everytime i go to the track the car gets faster and we have alot of things to play with. I've been told that on friday you can usually get quite a few runs in. I would have loved to been able to go to Atco, but this weekend was just too crazy. See ya in two weeks.
